Yet shortly after her arrival, Andi's old high school friend Wade Jamison helps her to realize she needs inner healing as well. In the weeks that follow, as Andi's strength grows, so do her feelings for the rancher who has captured her heart. aka Sharon Harlow

Bestselling author Sharon Gillenwater writes stories about love—between a man and a woman, of family and home, and the everlasting love of God and Jesus.

She grew up on a ranch in the Rolling Plains of West Texas, near the small town of Colorado City. Marriage took her across the country, but Texas is still dear to her heart. All of her Christian contemporary romances and most of her Christian historical romances are set in small West Texas towns filled with rugged, yet tenderhearted cowboys and strong, yet compassionate women.

While on a trip to England and Scotland years ago, the history and people captured her imagination. After returning home, she discovered Regency romances and another favorite time period and setting. She currently has two Christian Regency historical romances available, along with three sweet historical Regency romances.

She and her husband live in a quiet, rural area of Washington state with a wonderful view of the mountains. A friend once commented, “It’s like a writer’s retreat.” Sharon agrees and is busy dreaming up stories about Texas cowboys or English and Scottish heroes and the women who win their hearts.

This was a fantastic Contemporary Christian fiction book! It was apart of my church's Prime Timer ladies Blind Date with a Book event! Our hostess beautifully wrapped a variety of both Christian fiction and Christian nonfiction books. She filled the front pocket of each with goodies: bookmark, pen, and tea bags, etc. I actually opened up a book I already had previously read and owned a copy. A friend chose to trade hers with me. I'm so glad she did! This book truly was a joy to read! The story was believable and the characters were heartwarming! I discovered that this is actually a trilogy. However, trying to find the rest of the books in the series has been a challenge. I still highly recommend this book!

This Contemporary Christian romance centers on the relationship between country singer Andi Carson and her relationship with her high school friend Wade Jamison. Andi retreats to her hometown of Buckley, Texas to recover from a case of pneumonia and while there runs into Wade who is now a cowboy. The two find themselves falling in love as Wade helps Andi reconnect with her Christian faith. They have to resolve the realities of her career, however, before they can be together. The characters are pretty stereotypical: manly cowboy and beautiful, spunky singer. The plot is predictable. The book is o.k. for what it is and for those that enjoy this genre, many will really like it, particularly for those that like the western motif.

This is an inspirational romance with a lot of heart. The underlying theme is following God’s leading, which is well defined by each of the main characters. The source of conflict is insecurity, something most of us understand. I enjoyed the supporting characters as much as the main ones. Nice uplifting story.

Love Song (Buckley Texas book 1)

I loved this story. It was humorous, had a spiritual basis, and a developing love story. Andrea was home, staying with her aunt, recovering from exhaustion and pneumonia. Wade was in town when he saw someone sitting on a bench, he thought he knew. It was Andrea, looking so tired and worn out.you are going to love this story. A must read.

Great story

A great story with some funny scenes, some tear inducing scenes & some words of wisdom.
When the cousin meets Grant the 1st time: great description\word picture, funny. The last scene is very touching & done right.

if you love a cowboy story…

This is one of the most poignant, sweetest cowboy romances… but the message of Salvation through Christ is woven very realistically through it! A VERY GOOD READ, INDEED!

Most definitely the best of the series. A little too sappy for a cowboy, who you might expect to struggle more with pride rather than fear, but still a carefully crafted sweet romance.
