This book started out great! It has amazing life-changing ideas! It encouraged me to pray more. That was the first chapter or two. It went downhill from there. It was pages and pages and pages of hearing the author almost bragging about how wonderful and often she prayed. I didn't think the book would ever end. I got her message right away. I almost made it to the end of the book, but it was just too busy to continue. I am happy that she prays and God has answered prayers in her and her family's lives, but I didn't want to read about it anymore.

Evelyn Christenson has changed my prayer life since I first read her book, "What Happens When Women Pray" over 20 years ago. Her books are older but God does not change, and neither do principles of prayer. Although I enjoyed this book, it is more of an encouragement than a teaching book. Her book, "Lord, change me," is also phenomenal. If I was to recommend one of her books, I would start with those. I look forward to reading some of her other books as well.

I loved this book as a praying guide. I tagged certain sections I found important for my family. I especially love the idea of crisscross praying. (When all the family members pray for each other). Many families (mine included) don't pray anymore and have turned away from the faith. I am going to use this book as a guideline for praying for my family and I encourage you to do the same.

This book is not so guilt-inducing as Ms. Christenson's book, What Happens When Women Pray. In this current book, there are ideas I wish I had read over forty years ago. I'm glad somebody has such wonderful children, children-in-law, and grandchildren.
