A sweet bathtime/bedtime story for the adorable monsters in all our lives.
The scales, fangs, and claws of this sweet, little beast become cuddly, cute, and clean as the bath is drawn and bedtime is around the corner. Scrub carefully between your toes and don't breathe fire out of your nose, as the beasty bath parades new and exciting ways to see yourself underwater. So please brush your teeth and finally fall asleep in the arms of imagination.

Beasty Bath is a quick, fun read. The story is for younger children who would have fun looking at all the different creatures this little girl can imagine being while she is taking a bath. It's great to encourage imaginations and bath time, but not exactly one of my favorites.
What first drew me to this sturdy and fun book was the cover illustration, then the title. The illustrations are bold, bright, colorful, large and enjoyable. They add greatly to the story. The prose is rhythmic and lyrical, again a lot of fun. It is a very short book, so be prepared to read it more than once. One thing I appreciate about hardcover books is when the pages are of above average quality. This book gets extra points for valuable quality construction.
I can just see the wild things, oh, I mean, children who will now be bathtime beasts thanks to this offering. The illustrations add just the right amount of quirk-lovely.
A little small for story time but it could still work with the nice rhyme. Might need a little explanation A young child's imagination transforms bath time into a monster-filled adventure.
