I kind of liked this book because it just suddenly stopped even when they already collected all the materials for the coiled viper, but the bad guy just flew away and the book ended.
The whole book was great I loved it there is five stars. A tiny bit scary. and one night it kept me awake for a little while. Because I was thinking about it and I was a little scared.
I've decided to read The Secrets of Droon series entirely for Christmas since i've been feeling a bit nostalgic. I want to be able to live a bit of the magic of being a kid and what beeter to help than this incredible series. I know that this series is for young kids but i feel it will still be great after all these years. An exciting adventure it was. Sparr finally appears in the children's town and causes trouble to get what he wants but the gang tries to stop him. We meet a few new characters and we are confronted with new mysteries. It was fun and adventure filled.
I remember when i first read this, i was very confused. I didn’t read the special editions because i thought they were just bonus stories. Not just a thicker book that has a different numbering system. Very important to read in order
I love how we’re even more blurring the lines between the upper world and droon
We are slowly learning about all the pieces that need to be found to make these all powerful objects work. It would be interesting to see all the different parts and where they were all found
- family tree project - All find connections to sparr when researching their ancestors - Chasing a frog thing down the street - There is only one item that could stand up to the power of the viper - Ninns steal the eye - Keeah comes with them to upper world. Their journey is here this time - Keeah meets eric’s parents - Eric is trapped by a BUNCH of frog creatures - The frog (Pikoo) said his ancestors said eric would help sparr. He has been looking for him - Calibaz is a moving city of tents - Pikoo dug all the way to droon. Ninns are coming - Found the medallion mentioned earlier in the past - Sparr must break a branch (galen) - The viper is buried behind the library. Before the children’s library - Julie shape shifts into neil’s mom so they can get into the library - Ninns invade a neighborhood party - Eric gives sparr the viper to avoid galen turning to ice. Completes the prophecy he was told

somehow I skipped over this book when I was reading the others, I give them high marks for being age appropriate and being a series that young childlings can read on there own, My son read everyone and looked forward to a new one coming out from elementary school on into middle school, he just liked the characters and wanted to see what happened next. This was a good read.
Please read them in order, or they are not that great as a stand alone book, they are a great series but rely on the earlier books to set the characters up for the later books.
The evil Lord Sparr comes to Eric's world after traveling through time from five hundred years ago. The kids try to keep the coiled viper away from Sparr.
Unlike others where the plot doesn't really play into the big picture, this book is clearly mostly plot. This is definitely not the book to read if you're reading them out of order. I've always loved the inventiveness of this series. I enjoy this idea of musical gypsy frogs that move their hidden campsite to a different place every night. These books are generally super creative and I love it.
This was another book I found from my elementary school books pile. It's odd I only have this one and not the rest of the series, but disregarding that, it was entertaining enough and I suppose a child would enjoy it more than I did.
A well needed risk that dares to move the setting out of droon and does so without losing its charm. Reviving a series that had begun to stagnate into episodic trudges.
