Una mujer que huye. Abandonos involuntarios.
I completly loved this book. I found the author in some street selling this, his book, so I bought it and now I'm more than satisfied. The pages tell the story of a country, not just the story of a character: I'm telling this because although every book countain characteristics from the time and country where the author lives they focus more on this just being the setting. The author raises hope in every chapter and is very careful with the details, as giving a name to every character and not just saying "the man with white pants", y'know? Also you found some chapters that, at least for me, could or couldn't make in the book and this wouldn't lose anything in the story of Marissa, the main character, but are here because the final porpuse of this story is to talk about and show the problem that not only Mexico suffer so Manuel Ramirez tries almost all the time to reflect every characteristic that the topic of the human trafficking involves. Thanks to his complex narrative, expressed with usual words, was easy to connect and become sensitive. When I found out what this was actually talking about my mind exploded because not even the synopsis gives you anything so you are just giving a leap of faith and hope to like and understand this beautiful story. Now I just feel gratitud to the man that wrote this, for talk about something so important and real in a kind of fictional way and with the universe for make my way to read this asap. Plz, people should read this.
