Bitterness: When You Can't Move on

Rate this book
It's only natural to bristle when you are mistreated. Perhaps you were passed over for a well-deserved job promotion, hurt by a family member, falsely accused, or experienced a severe disappointment. An array of emotions--anger, frustration, anxiety--are sure to rise to the surface when life doesn't pan out the way you expected. It's easy to get stuck in bitterness when we can't let go of hurt and disappointment. It's easy to recognize bitterness in others--but not so easy in ourselves. Pastor and counselor Paul Tautges helps readers see how bitterness skews our view of ourselves and God and negatively affects our relationships. You can learn to move from heartbreak to hope as you turn to God, lament to him, ask him for help, and choose to trust him in the midst of pain. No matter what our struggle with bitterness may look like, the Bible speaks the truth and hope of God's goodness and good plan to sufferers.

A helpful booklet on a serious problem. Dr. Tautges works through the sin of bitterness using relevant passages of Scripture and points his readers to Christ for the solution.
