Hoping to escape the pain associated with her psychic talents, Lyric Solei goes on a summer retreat in Salem and investigates an ancient mystery associated with a seaside house, until she falls in love with its handsome owner. Original.
I was underwhelmed with this book. I don’t know what I was expecting; perhaps an actual “ghost” or apparition as opposed to a charged energy (which I personally I found so crazy that said energy was the dust in the house that fed off living beings!....I think that was the point I really lost interest). Maybe I was expecting a Beauty and the Beast type scenario just with a “ghost” instead of a beast. Either way, something in the storyline/plot/etc was missing. I did like the characters. I liked her psychic ability/profession and I liked that he was a firefighter, I even liked that he was restoring an old cursed house, that’s the stuff ghost stories are made of, I just didn’t like the story as a whole.
