OMG!!! I love this book! I have been looking for the perfect book to use when I teach my kids yoga class and this one is IT!! I love the games, the creative descriptions of the asanas and the songs. This book is everything I've been looking for and more. My students love the new stuff I've been teaching them out of this book. I can't rave enough! I borrowed it from the library 1st, but immediately went out and bought it. Fabulous, absolutely fabulous.
Comprehensive introduction to kid friendly Kundalini yoga! Not too over the top. Introducing mantras to children can be a little tricky - certainly would not incorporate in the classroom. However, if I was a parent I would likely use a lot of these sequences with my own children. Great book overall!
A very special book about yoga for children. I took a workshop with the author one time, and she is a very special person-- just shines through this book. She used to offer a teaching training for doing yoga with children- probably an amazing course.
There was a yoga-for-children-book bonanza this past decade, and I've read most of them, yet this old book is better than 90% of the new ones. The ideas are fresh and true to yoga, the stories compelling, and kids will like what this book has to offer.
Great stories for incorporating yoga into kids classes. The kids are true yogi's and their outfits are a bit hokey to some children. I used this successfully with preschoolers to 3rd grade dancers.
