Emily had no right to go so hard on this novella.

First of all the smut was so hot I had to take breaks to calm myself down before continuing because I was reading this AT WORK.

Second of all, she then had the audacity to make me cry happy tears. Like COME ON. I’m not a huge crier usually.

Infinity stars. I love these books. ♾️

Pucking Ever After: Volume 1, is book #1.5 in the Jacksonville Rays series by Emily Rath. This is a collection of six wonderful chapters that follow the Price Family, Rachel and her three men, after the end of Pucking Around. We get several peeks into their future lives together and it was wonderful.

This book is filled with plenty of sexy times, plenty of smiles, and so so much swoon. I love this family so much. Because that is what they are, a family of four that loves each other with all of their hearts.

This is short. I read it in a couple of hours. It was just the icing on the cake after the end of Pucking Around. Now I am beyond excited for the next book in the series, Pucking Wild. And the author promises there will be lots more from this family in all future books. So I’m trying not to be too sad at having to say good-bye to these characters for a little while.

I LOVED Pucking Around and I was so excited for this little epilogue novella. It had fun, cute, and spicy moments but the way Ilmari interacted with Caleb and Jake felt like fanservice in a way that contradicts what was established in the main book.

Relationships can always change and grow but the group dynamic changing so suddenly in the heat of the moment with no conversation took me out of it because it was so contrary to the careful way Jake's queer awakening and the group dynamic was handled in Pucking Around.

Sometimes the best stories aren’t the ones packed with drama or heart-stopping cliffhangers. They’re the ones that let you slow down and truly live with the characters you’ve fallen for. That’s exactly what this little gem of a novella gave me. It felt like I got to sneak into Rachel, Caleb, Jake, and Ilmari’s home for a while, watching their unfiltered, behind-the-scenes life together, and I couldn’t stop smiling. There’s so much humor woven in, the kind that comes from people who know each other inside and out. I found myself laughing out loud more than once because these four together are just magic. The quick banter, the playful teasing, and the small everyday moments all show the deep comfort they share.

Of course there’s also the spice, perfectly balanced with the laughter and love, along with tender moments that caught me off guard in the best way. While I adore all three of Rachel’s men for the fierce, unconditional way they love and protect her, Ilmari completely stole my heart in this one. There’s something about his quiet, steadfast presence. He may not be the loudest in the room, but when he opens up it’s with a raw, gentle honesty that hits you right in the chest. Hearing him share how he feels loved and protected by his partners, and how Rachel is his safe place, absolutely melted me. Caleb’s easy charm and Jake’s steady strength shine too, each of them putting Rachel first without hesitation, but Ilmari’s tender vulnerability here is unforgettable.

And then there’s Rachel—strong, grounded, and so full of love that it’s no wonder these three men orbit her like she’s their entire world. Watching her in this stage of life, carrying and welcoming new little lives into their family, felt like such a natural, beautiful conclusion to their story. It’s not just a happy ending, it’s a complete one. Love, laughter, inside jokes, quiet understanding, and now the beautiful, busy joy of babies adding a whole new layer of love to their home. 🥹

This novella isn’t just an epilogue. It’s a sweet look back at the journey they’ve shared. While I’ll definitely miss being part of their world, this felt like the perfect way to say goodbye.

I literally read this in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep (so I read it in one sitting which I never do with a book). This book is a series of chapters that follow Rachel, Ilmari, Jake and Caleb after Pucking around. It's basically them being in love and having sex as well Rachel being pregnant and having two kids. So obviously this has no big plot but I loved it anyway. I love get happily ever after especially characters have been through a lot like these ones (even when not much happens in them.) I can't wait to read the second happily ever volume soon.

I loved seeing the babies, knowing Jake had one first it’s perfect because if he not have met Rachel first, they wouldn’t have what they do.

I love how involved they all are every years after and having Ilmari smooch the boys HOLY HOT DAMN!!!!

Let’s just pray that the third baby is a girl and is in fact Caleb’s so that they all get to be bio dad.

I freaking love this family and can’t wait to read other Price fam volumes AND Tess’s book 😍😍😍

Ilmari’s large hand grabs Jake roughly by the jaw, turning him. Then he’s leaning in, his blue eyes like fiery ice. “You’re mine,” he growls. Surprising the fuck out of all of us, he presses his lips to Jake’s mouth, kissing him. Caleb leans away, eyes wide, as Ilmari teases his tongue into Jake’s mouth. Jake moans, kissing him back, chasing his touch. My whole body hums as I try to keep the pieces of myself from shattering. Then Ilmari breaks his kiss with Jake, his hand already cupping the back of Caleb’s neck. Cay has no time to pull away before Ilmari is kissing him too. “Oh fuck,” Jake whines, his gaze molten as he watches them. Caleb more than reciprocates, one hand leaving Jake’s side to take hold of Ilmari. Ilmari breaks the kiss and all three of them are panting. “You’re both mine,” he says. “Fight over me again, and I’ll tape your dicks together.”

I’m crying happy tears because this was this most beautiful epilogue.
Somehow I’ve fallen even harder. For this story, for the fictional people I now hold close to my heart.

The peak into this world. This was like watching the camera pan out. But then getting an extra 30 minute update on the characters you’ve just spent 2hours of a film falling in love with.
This was like a perfectly crafted series finale episode.
Beautifully done.

Rachel and her guys have sucked me in. I’m totally #teamprice and I’m obsessed with the rays.

I am kicking and screaming after this novella, but in a happy way! This is the perfect sneak peak!! I’m ecstatic but I don’t want to give any spoilers but the trigger warnings kinda give it away.

I will say again that this book is for mature adults aged 18+

This was the best bonus content and it’s exactly what I needed. I’ve missed Rachel and her boys so much. We get a look into different parts of their lives after PA. I love the world Emily created. The love and acceptance she harnesses in her writing is beautiful to read about. I wasn’t expecting chapter two and yet it’s my favorite ever. I believe it’s the best smüt chapter Emily has ever written and that’s not something I say lightly. Mars and the boys and Rachel… ugh they’re all just chefs kiss 💋 🥵

I was smiling from ear to ear most of these six chapters and I can’t wait for more from these guys in the next Jacksonville rays books. If Emily writes it, I’m reading it no questions asked.

I think I'm official in love with this series.

The books are long. They are a serious time investment. Even this novella, which it's just a compilation of epilogues is around the 150 page mark. But they're so much fun, and I love the guys so much. Caleb, Jake, Ilmari and Rachel make the perfect family and here we get all the HEA feels and cute moments I was craving after finishing Pucking Around. I also love that it's confirmed we're going to see more about this family in future books.

It was cute, but I’m not understanding the hype around this series. I like each male character individually but I don’t ~love~ Rachel. I think their relationship is a bit too taboo for me personally and it wasn’t doing it for me. That being said, if you loved the first book, you’ll love this novella. I felt obligated to read it after forcing myself to finish PA. I rated it 1 star because I personally didn’t love it but that’s not to say it isn’t a good book. Some parts of it seemed to cringey to me. I cant imagine a full grown male hockey player saying the things Jake says in real life. And a man like Ilmari just sliding into a poly relationship without any more of an argument or an internal battle just makes no sense to me. I get it, it’s a fiction book, but it’s almost too out there for me to see it as realistic.

every time I need something comforting I will turn to Pucking Around. Is it a 730 paged beast? yeah. But it's so worth it. Every time I'm just happy. I pick it up and I feel as if I'm loved by the Price's.

This was such a great epilogue read. I loved seeing Rachel, Jake, Caleb and ilmari happy many years on after that final game. Seeing them all grow emotionally and building their little family. This series is quickly becoming my new favourite series.
