If the Kryptonians clash, nothing will be able to protect the bottled city of Metropolis! Meanwhile, inside the bottle itself, the Guardian is doing everything he can to stop the city from destroying itself from within, while Mister Miracle has discovered the trail of a strange signal that he doesn’t realize will take him to Warworld.

Jonathan Kent story: 2⭐ I would give it a 1 but the art was great, so I'll up the rating a bit for that. But again, like all these Future State books, all the heroes are assholes and we're meant to care deadly for them?

Mister Miracle story: 2½⭐ Can't say I dug it that much, but I enjoyed it slightly more than the other two stories here. And it somewhat—but not really—ties into the main Superman book.

Guardian story: 2⭐ Yeah not much to say here either. It was Okay. Not great. Not bad. Very standard and pointless.

The fact that everyone but Jon seemed more interesting to me in both issues? Glad I also got my Kara crumbs.

Jon is still incredibly unlikeable and unfocused as a character. The ending didn’t land the way the writer intended for me. It fell forced and unearned. Jon comes across as an overlord and not a hero to Metropolis.
Kara is also written like Karen Starr who is very much absent from any of these events this past number of years.
The backup stories again save this mess. Mister Miracle is outstanding as is The Guardian. Worth the money for these alone

While rushed, it's a good ending--for all three stories.

I really really hate the cover of this issue. Also, similar to the first one, Jon's personality didn't really come across at all here. As a result, this just says Jon's weakness is fear. Not exactly original.

Also, Kara's personality and dialogue didn't quite fit what I've read in previous books.

I liked Issue #1 of this miniseries better than Issue #2. The resolution of the Superman story is fine, but the two back-ups (Mister Miracle and The Guardian) didn't have much to them.

I enjoyed the concept of Metropolis being shrunk, that was fun. I also enjoyed the way the stories were connected. With that said, these were good but not great. I would have rather had the Mister Miracle story taken out to extend the main story a bit.

Great conclusion. I love how they tied The Guardian's story in with the end of the Superman story. It felt tight and well thought-out.

I really like how they ended this. It sets the tone for Jon's run.
