i saw some ig discourse abt the use of imperial boomerang and wanted to read the source. the foreword was very informative abt aime cesaire’s life and politics (& its development). i guess the correct use of boomerang isn’t as important as the bigger picture which is that fascism is a natural extension of colonialism, rather than an aberrant development.

An excellent work on the foundations of consciousness among the oppressed under colonialism. Its influence on a lot of scholars - Franz Fanon - for example, cannot be underestimated. One of the best essays on the underlying principles of Negritude.
