Debated whether to categorize as "fun" or "horror". Imagine living with 9 cats in a house designed for maximum feline convenience --- holes in the walls (no doors!) ladders and walkways for cats all throughout the house.
These people are clearly crazy, but the brightly colored photos are intriguing. This may not be a book you want to buy, but if you see it at the library, grab it up! But don't let your kids see it, because they may try or nag for some of the architectural changes shown here, and they don't understand the concept of "re-sale value" when it comes to real estate.
This book was fun and, I'll tell you a secret: if I ever buy a house I will make it cat friendly. Maybe not the bright bright bright colors these folks use, but can you imagine how much easier life would be if you had cat doors so you didn't have to constantly let the cats in and out of your bedroom? It was a fun, although slightly sad, book and I would recommend it for anyone who is curious about there house.
If you've never met The Walkers and their feline family you're missing something special. The book is basically out of print, but you can still go online to www.thecatshouse.com and see all there is to see. Wonderful stuff!
