Normans, like Vikings, only politically acceptable! Unless you're the king of France... This book, translated from the recognised French authority on the subject, Neveux, provides wonderful detail about how the Vikings integrated themselves into the politics of the 8th to 11th centuries, using both guile and also their trademark violence.
