This book provides a readable history of stained glass, and includes many beautiful photographs. It also includes a bibliography, glossary, index, etc., and provides enough detail on technical aspects for the reader to understand both its creation and its art. There are also sections on restoring and preserving stained glass that are clear and easy to understand. I'm looking forward to using my newfound knowledge to gain greater appreciation of the art form.

Ancient and modern; Sacred and secular, all types of stained glass are included in this beautiful and well-researched book. No qualms about the historical content either (unusual for me) as no sloppy, dodgy, or one-sided history has got past the editors. Quite a delight
