Somewhat dry. More information about government structure of the day, and what house was in a specific location on what street, than what I was interested in. (How people actually lived in the medieval city.)
Black and white pictures (some very interesting), and confusing maps (medieval outline overlay on an early modern map of the city, with the medieval era text hard to read).
