Liam Kaminsky broke my heart into a million pieces when I was 18. Now I’ve been hired to be his live-in nurse and all I can think about is undressing him.
When I showed up on my first day at the new job and realized my patient was Liam, I wanted to hightail it out of his luxury penthouse ASAP. But that wasn’t an option.
He was my first love. He’s also my overly protective brother’s best friend. I wanted him to be my first for everything, practically begged him, but my brother made sure that would never happen.
I'm supposed to be helping him regain his strength after a ski accident. But I can’t focus. His chiseled body and gorgeous eyes still take my breath away after all these years.
Our chemistry is still undeniable, and I can’t hold back much longer.
But he stomped on my heart before and that still stings.I 'm waiting for him to prove to me that this time will be different…
Callie and Liam first met when she was 18 and he was...28, yes 28. Liam was/is Callie's older brother's, Nate, best friend and they worked together on a rig; Callie and Nate also have a big age difference. When Liam told Nate about a possible relationship between him and Callie (you know Nate's just recently graduated high school little sister), Nate was very much not pleased and told Liam to break it off which he did which broke Callie's young heart. Now I might be in the minority, but I completely agreed with Nate, Liam should have never pursued anything with Callie that soon especially since he was practically 30! Nate was obviously going to have a problem with his friend, who is older than him btw, dating his way younger sister. Callie never knew of the conversation between Liam and Nate.
Ironically enough, it wasn't age issue that bothered me about the story, it was actually Liam and Callie.
Callie gets a daisy tattoo on her (daisies were the flowers he gave her when he dumped her) and swore the tattoo had nothing to do with Liam, she gave some excuse that quite honestly made no damn sense to me and apparently not to her bestie and fellow nurse, Sasha, either. So I think we jump another 10 years I think, Callie is 28 and he is 38, there age is no longer a problem, they are both adults and they can do whatever they like. So naturally they act like teens and do all the immature things such as: Callie is unknowingly hired as his LIVE-IN nurse as Liam was injured in a ski accident so to prove they over each other...they decide to be "adults" about this.
I say that it lasted about a week before they are banging each other's brains out and his entire staff know it; I guess you can say Callie was really putting him to work physically...for help purposes I'm sure. Did I mention the entire time they are "dating" while both on/off the clock, they continue to lie to Nate who is still Liam's best friend. They was even an incident of sneaking out and pretending they didn't really member the past, it was just all unnecessary, they are grown people. When they break up again, they do it because of Nate, like why exactly?
I just couldn't connect with it, Callie really didn't give a shit about her job honestly once she got Liam back and Liam I really didn't see the appeal since the guy was an ass for about 90% of the book.

This was a quick read with only 163 pages, but it was the perfect length for the story to unfold.
Callie is a live-in nurse, whose new assignment is to help a famous writer to get back on his feet after he had a skiing accident. Little does she know that when she gets there, it turns out that the guy is an old summer fling of hers, who wouldn't take her virginity and left her behind without telling her why.
Now she has to take care of him, and that old flame is slowly rekindling. She finds out why he left her all those years ago, and that same reason is threatening the relationship yet again.
I liked the book. Liam, the billionaire, is a loveable grump, who wants to get back on his feet but doesn't want to put in the work out of shame. He never forgot about Callie, but is doing his best to not cross any boundaries. But their attraction is too strong. Callie is a really sweet woman, who is determined to not fall in love with Liam again, but fails miserably. Through helping him and living with him she is getting all those old feelings back.
There was some spice in it, but it's kind of vanilla, so if you're dipping your toes into smutty waters, this is a good one to start with.
Reunited with My Billionaire by Alix Vaughn is a delightful romance with enough steamy scenes to keep you turning the page. Callie is Liam's best friend's little sister, but Liam can't avoid the incredible attraction the two have. Despite caring for her deeply, he severs their relationship cruelly because he wants more for her than he can offer.
Honor prevented Liam from pursuing Callie seriously when they were younger, but as they are reunited years later, the heat between the two is still there… and it isn't going away. Liam has been injured in a ski accident and needs a private nurse. While they haven't seen each other since that fateful summer, as adults Liam and Callie are drawn to the old flame.
Vaughn does a great job creating characters to care about. Both Callie and Liam have regrets and these characters echo the reality of living lives with regret. The romance is spot on and the tension develops well through the story.
I enjoyed this book and actually picked up another Vaughn book to read already. I'll be keeping an eye out for more from this author.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Liam worked on an oil rig and one summer came home with his friend Nate. Once at Nate's house, he met his younger sister, Callie. They couldn't explain it, but there was just a connection between the two of them, but Nate was a decade older than Callie. He couldn't provide for her and she still had her life to live. He had to leave.
Fast forward 10 years and Callie has become a personal, live-in nurse and finds herself helping a Liam Sterling, world famous author, recover from a skiing accident. Imagine her surprise when it's the Liam from her youth. There is so much between them, that she can't possibly stay and help him recover. But Callie is a professional so she does and they become close and learn so much more about each other. But is it enough?
So sweet. Callie and Liam's love starts out as such pure young love and could have turned into such bitterness after their falling out and time apart. Loved their story. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily providing my review.
Great second-chance romance. I loved the way this story between rehabilitation nurse, Callie & grumpy, injured Liam develops despite their history. He abandoned her ten years before as she was his best friend’s little sister, and she has resented him for it ever since. The way she treats & copes with his temper tantrums following his serious injuries from a skiing accident brought a smile to my face. The chemistry between them is addictive and when they finally give into it the steam is seriously HOT! There is also a lot of humour in the book – I literally laughed out loud when a surprise visit from her older brother almost catches them ‘in the act’! A great light-hearted read with the inevitable cute HEA.
Reunited With My Billionaire is a wonderful read. The characters are well developed and likeable. The plot is inventive. The passion is intense, but the reader has to wait a while for the relationship to re-ignite from a ten-year hiatus. Once it begins again the second-chance romance must survive tension, conflict, and opposition to the relationship itself. Will there be a happy ending? Alix Vaughn presents their story in a way which will leave you anxious to find out.
After a tragic accident leads to Liam needing rehabilitation, he is reunited with his best friend’s sister Callie. Their chemistry is intense and full of fireworks. In order to be together, they will need to navigate through various obstacles to their happiness. The story was well written and very fascinating. I enjoyed this read and could not put it down.
I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily leave this review.
They had a month together a decade ago & ended it for the sake of her brothers friendship. Now a live in nurse Cassie has just excepted an assignment from a famous writer. Not realizing that it's the man she has loved all these years. Read their truth & she what there love blossoms into. Emotional, hot, sexy & a beautiful HEA
Well enjoy this one! The story flows, the look back chapters add depth and colour to the plot. Unless you are a very slow reader, this a ‘read in one sitting’ book, so have drinks and snacks at the ready!
This was an excellent second chance romance. From the history between Liam and Callie to their unexpected reunion, I was hooked from page one. I can't wait to read more in this series!
