Dead Woman Walking

Three stalkers with masks. One Dead Woman Walking.

Field of Screams was one of the biggest Halloween attractions when I was a child. Now its legacy has turned into a party ground for kicking off summer.

But deep inside the amusement park, secrets lie. Three masked men declared me as free play, and slowly the real creeps around me began disappearing.

*This is a dark why choose romance, where the main character, Art, doesn't have to choose between her men. Please read content warnings and read at your own risk.*

I enjoyed reading this book & it wasn't what I was expecting from reading the blurb.. that being said.. I think the blurb made me expect one thing, but what I read was so much better.. GRANTED.. it did leave for some questions, but overall for a short story, this book was a pretty good read with a good plot. I definitely could see this as a full length story.

🎶 No, I'm not coming to my senses. I know he's crazy but he's the one I want 🎶

Artemis (h) has just experienced a harrowing encounter with three strangers on Halloween night. The eerie atmosphere and the strangers' unsettling behavior leave her shaken, but it's not until she finds herself face-to-face with her demons from the past that she realizes the true extent of the strangers' intentions.

─── ・ 。゚☆: THOUGHTS*.☽ .*:☆゚. ───

“Say ‘I’m beautiful, no matter what size.’” He encourages.

I was hooked from the start, trying to unravel the mystery surrounding Artemis and those masked men. At first, I thought she was genuinely frightened, but boy was I wrong! The plot twist had me scrambling to reassemble my thoughts. It turned out that she knew them all along, and they were all dating, engaging in a role-playing game where they pretended not to know each other. Artemis was playing the part of a scared victim, and it was all so...clever. But, as I delved deeper into the story, I couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment. I wanted to know more about these characters, their backgrounds, their motivations. The relationships between them were intriguing, but there just wasn't enough time to fully explore them. I found myself craving more depth, more connection to the characters. It's like being given a glimpse of a puzzle, only to have the pieces snatched away before you can fully assemble it. I get why it was written this way, though. The book is short, after all. It's understandable that the author would prioritize the plot over character development. But still, I couldn't help but feel a sense of loss. I wanted to be invested in the relationships, to care about what happened to these characters. Alas, it was all too fleeting. Despite the letdown, I'm still intrigued by the world and characters that were presented.

“Tell yourself you are beautiful, Artemis. Let me hear it,” he encourages again.

At first, I found it tough to keep track of the three guys, as they all seemed to have similar personalities and blended together in the moment. But, the Halloween masks they wore were a helpful distinguishing feature. As I got to know each of them better, their individual quirks and traits started to shine through. What struck me most about this book was the way the three guys worked together to help Artemis find closure and confidence.

“I hold back my laughter, feeling grateful for my men who know how to take my mind off the dark, nitty gritty shit of this shit world.”

They all shared a common goal: to make sure Artemis felt good in her own skin, and to ensure that she wasn't held back by the people who had hurt her in the past. It was good to see how they each brought their own unique perspective and approach to helping Artemis heal. The book tackles some heavy themes, including trauma, anxiety, and body positivity. But, it's handled in a way that creates a safe space for Artemis to explore these emotions and come out stronger on the other side.

─── ・ 。゚☆: OVERALL *.☽ .*:☆゚. ───

The story meanders along at a sluggish pace, with characters that feel more like cardboard cutouts than actual human beings . The plot is predictable, and the dialogue is often stilted and unnatural. Now, I'm not going to sugarcoat it – this book is not good. It's not even great. But, at the same time, it's also not the worst thing I've ever read. It's a decent way to pass the time, but it's not going to leave a lasting impact on you.

I have been careening down a hill at full speed when it comes to dark romance. I'm trying to figure out what I like, what I don't, what might be irredeemable for me, and what I can live with.

The men in this book are people that I can definitely live with. if you choose to read this book, please mind the trigger warnings. Honestly, I don't know that I would necessarily call this a stalker romance. Can those two words even go together? But what I will say is that it was lovely, made me cry just a little, and the main character was someone that I could definitely relate to.

There are trigger warnings at the beginning of the book, so please do read them. What I will say is that not everything is as it seems. But at the very least, there are presenting non-consensual scenes, dubious consent, and some really awful people who get what they absolutely deserve.

I am still trying to navigate this sub genre of romance very carefully. I will admit that I often don't know how I feel, but what I will say is that I would love to read more books like this. vengeance is no longer a dish best served cold. It needs to be absolutely piping hot!

Well… Um… The spicy scenes were absolutely incredible and that’s the only reason this book has points to begin with. It was 97pages so not much to work with but, I’ve seen author so a lot more with less. The story starts and we are completely unaware of what will happen.

Ok so, the three male leads are stalkers but, also the fls boyfriends? They had a plan to get rid of her R-worders but, she didn’t recognize her boyfriends in the masks even though that seem apart of the plan? It was a whole bunch of plot holes and nonsensical content forced together…
I won’t yuck anyones yum further but, I’m left extremely disappointed.I can’t even really talk about the Main characters because they were 1 dimensional and the context about their relationship and personality was unknown.

So this books twists and turns are mind boggling. This is the story of Art/ Artemis, she returns to her home town to spend some time with her best friend and gets roped into attending a party that is being held but she has to see and interact with men that literally drove her insane years prior. Throughout the day leading upto the party as well as at the party she encounters 3 masked men who give her give her pleasure which she doesn't understand why she likes it so much. The question is, are these men on her side?

Check your trigger warnings as this is dark and deals with SA, knife play, role play, why choose and super spicy group scenes...

Amazing read!!!

This book was a super quick read for me. I enjoyed it mostly, but close to the end lost me for a bit then SUCKED me back in in the epilogue.

PLEASE read the trigger warnings before starting this book. I know a lot of people say that for some books, but this one has a GRAPHIC retelling of an SA scene. It also begins with a CNC scene you aren’t aware of the pre-consent. It can be tough to read for some. Also brutal killings, sex near dead bodies, lots of male forcing situations, etc.

This book was amazing from the start. I loved the masked aspect, the danger, I loved that she was a bigger curvy girl with hot goth vibes, the FMC is a bad ass. The story was amazing. Up until close to the end when a few chapters are nothing but spicy sex scenes. I had to skim them because they felt redundant but I know a lot of people will enjoy them. They’re positive, the after care is incredible to read about since it’s forgotten so often in real life, the way she’s built up and personified as a goddess by her lovers, I loved that.

The FMC is broken from a tragic event and she finds love and a family in an unexpected place, a mental health ward.

The epilogue was incredible since she is finally vindicated. But sadly learns some heart breaking news along with the vindication.

This is a heavy book, not for beginning dark romance readers. It touches on real life situations that will absolutely gut you. I would say it can be extremely triggering to victims of SA situations so PLEASE read the trigger warnings carefully. I enjoyed it, even with the packed ending with spice that felt a bit rushed. I’ll be thinking of this book for a while.

A fantastic read that tickled my love for masked men!!

I absolutely love a good woman scorned revenge story and this one meets it with a bonus of of having three masked men.

Artemis is a young woman who has spent the last few years healing from a horrific event that happened to her. She returns home to see her friend and have a fun night out but encounters the ghosts of her past. I love the strength, courage and vulnerability this heroine has.

I was drawn in from the first chapter and was kept captive until the end. Lilith truly had me in her grasp while I was trying to guess what would happen next and I loved every single word. This is on the darker side with a beautiful taste of revenge, perfect amount of spice and so much healing. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

This was a beautiful, horrific, and traumatic love story, and if you're here, I reckon you know what to expect with these types of dark books, and you won't be disappointed with this short novella. I was on the side of "wrong" the entire time reading. I am very eager to see what else Lilith DeLuca will produce. I could have done without the incest though, not gonna' lie. My face was like this reading the erotic scenes the entire time... 🥴of all the people to share sex juices with, why fam? fam? But did I stop reading? The fuck I did. I inhaled that shit. Ah heh heh! Merry Christmas to me.

I’ve never Dnf’d a novella before because they are short so I push through even when they are cringey and fanfiction-like, but this was unbearable. It takes a lot for me to not like a book and this was a mess. The writing felt like a 14 year old wrote it, the plot twist was not done in a crafty way but instead just left me confused and rolling my eyes. Absolutely terrible! Also does the author understand female anatomy?? I cannot believe the amount of good reviews on this that tricked me. Do not read this if you have trouble with bad writing and messy plot.

I Love This Book!

I Love This Book! Amazing job Lilith DeLuca! She reminds me of me aside from I am not a big girl. I am slim with curves, which does bother me at times. Sometimes I am skinnier than others, sometimes my hips become a little bigger. I loved this book, and how they all treated her! Sign me up for them please! Especially with some of my past choices. Once that I relate to her in a way sort of.

Dark ✔️ Spicy✔️ MASKS✔️ yes please. This is a dark stalker romance with our three guys “Jason, Ghostface, and Brahms” not only taking out trash people but also taking care of our main girl Art is a more primal kinky way. The guys are way OTT and super possessive but what better way to have our stalker. I love it but definitely read the TW so you know what to expect!

First I have to say thank you!
It is an awesome novel!
For everyone one, please read the trigger warnings! I’m lucky not to suffer with these.

As I survived a SA my self (not so sever, I was lucky and ran away) this book brought me some kind of strange justice even when I know it’s just a fiction

😢😢😢😢

This had me in tears. I was confused at first thinking why is she letting all these different dudes feel her up. I was getting really frustrated with her and sad at the same time. When the why of everything came out I was in tears. This story was very sad and real at the same time. Trigger warning on high.

Action packed with a twist

Def check your TW’s before diving into this!! It started off a little weird, then began making a bit more sense, then the twist came about… she suffered horrible things, together they helped each other heal, but vengeance was theirs and their day had come. I wish more back story on the 3 men had been included, but I still enjoyed the book.

A dark and spicy masked men read, Art is being stalked by 3 masked men that set her body alight on a night out with her best friend Blair and avoiding the advances of another 3 men that make her skin crawl. Lots of great twists and spice just wish there was a little more backstory to the characters.

Downloaded this book based off a recommendation that I promptly forgot about, so I had no expectations. The mask kink was on point, so gold stars for that. But, I learned a new ick; "Goddess" as a pet name, fucking ew.

Overall, there was revenge, there were masks, and there was sex. Can't go wrong with that combo.

Was great in theory but would have been better as a full book rather than a novella. I loved the characters and idea for the plot, but there was so much backstory we don’t know of/never get to see. I feel like this seems more like a prequel to a story than a standalone novella.

That being said, I would love to read a full novel about them if that’s the plan!
