This book was way too long and 'texty' to read to my kids. We looked through the pictures and discussed some of the history. They really enjoyed the pictures and had fun guessing what they meant. I don't think this book was meant to be a children's book, or if it was, it's for much older children.

If you can't find anything about the Anasazi/Early Pueblos then you might try this, but pre-read it so you can tell it back to your kids using your own words. I would use it again for the pictures though.
