Jiggy McCue is stressed about his exams. But when his mum suggests a murder mystery weekend to take his mind off things, he gets more than he bargained for! Can Jiggy stop the murderous madness before it's too late?
I started reading the Jiggy McCue books when I was about 10; I'm now 21 and would happily read them all over again. They're not children's books, but I don't feel that they're specifically for teenagers either. I actually understand and appreciate some of the humour more now that I'm older. They're all funny, witty and just downright fun :)
Another Jiggy McCue story read to my 10 year old son and as ever, another story filled with 'Three Musketeers' comedy and mayhem and character names and places that the carry-on films team would be proud of. One for all and all for lunch!
For a middle grade murder mystery, I found that this reads very well (and humorously) for adults. Plenty of adult humor for the more mature middle schoolers or the random adult who might pick up the book. All of the characters are so realistically quirky and the murder mystery weekend is an appealing plot. There's lots of fun to be had with Jiggy and his friends. An excellent conclusion to the Jiggy McCue series.
