This book was okay but wasn’t totally engaging. It was a fine enough collection of poems and nursery songs, but some of them were unfamiliar to me and didn’t intrigue me or inspire any kind of nostalgia.

A new twist on good old Mother Goose. Baby Goose features a day in the life of babies as told through the traditional Mother Goose rhymes grouped into chapters ranging from Good Morning, Baby Goose to Good Night, Baby Goose. All of the favorites like Pease Porridge Hot and Diddle Diddle Dumpling are here and you may even find some you've never heard before. The illustrations are fanciful, detailed, and funny--who knew babies could do so many things? This book will be a well-loved favorite for kids from birth on up.

I bought this book for a friend of mine who is pregnant and I do not think I could have picked a better book for a mother who is expecting her first child. I found this book to be so perfect for a mother to read to her newborn baby. This book has many of the mother goose nursery rhymes that are perfect for any mother or father to read. The illustrations are adorable of the babies and all in all it's just the perfect book for a mother and can be a book that you can go back to while raising your child every night. I would recommend this book for ages 0-3. I do not see how any young child would not love to hear these mother goose nursery rhymes. ADORABLE.

This book has Mother Goose nursery rhymes for babies aged 0-3. The illustrations, which all feature babies/toddlers, are adorable. The author has adjusted the rhymes to make sure the word "baby" is in each of them. "Unlike Rosemary Wells's Here Comes Mother Goose (1999) and similar collections, there's no breaking of crowns, falling of cradles, or other violence (Kirukus Reviews. (Oct 15, 2004). 72.20: p 1010)."

Perhaps I am too much of a purist, or an ardent Mother Goose fangirl. I did not find the baby insertion to be pleasing or entertaining in the least. It often messed with the lilt of the rhymes and my little one did not seem to find the artwork to be anymore interesting than normal because there happened to be babies in it.

Awesome collection of nursery rhymes for babies. There were many rhymes in this book that I hadn't heard before. I love the way the author substituted some of the words in the different rhymes (esp. "There Was An Old Woman.")

With a cute baby twist on many nursery rhymes, this book is a nice compilation for any young reader. The pictures fill the pages and the babies in them have quite an exciting life.
