Jennifer Aniston: The Biography of Hollywood's Sweetheart

Rate this book
Jennifer Aniston may be adored by fans equally for the dignity she's displayed in her very public personal life as she is for the performances that have made her an Emmy and Golden Globe–winning actress. Born into a family of actors, Jennifer grew up surrounded by the entertainment world on which she would eventually make her mark, but as explored in this biography, she had her share of childhood ups and downs. Every aspect of her career is considered—her early career, a challenge that she was about to give up for good, and the huge development that made her struggles worthwhile, landing the part that was to change her life forever—Rachel Green on Friends. The story of her next several years is fascinating, as she shot almost instantly to worldwide fame, remaining in the series for 10 years, and during this time established a high-profile relationship with Brad Pitt—seemingly perfect, and the envy of millions. As she left the stability of her series and transitioned to film, her marriage crumbled in one of the most publicized Hollywood scandals of recent years. However, the last chapters in Aniston's story so far tell of an actress showing the world her strength, bouncing back from heartbreak, and moving on to new relationships and bigger and better films. A close-up look at a much-loved survivor and superstar, this is a must-read for any fan.

This book just tells about Jennifer's acting job and how she became famous. Some of the main things in the story are how she and her mother once got in a big fight and never talked again. Also, how when she married Brad Pitt, her mother did not come to the wedding. It also tells how she starred in many movies, and the big shows. The show she starred in was called " Friends." It talked about the rough times she had and the others that were in in because it was not to popular from the start, but it became more and more popular as they kept making episodes. It says that when she was younger her and her family were not the richest people, and struggled money wise. After he and Brad got married, they moved into a two bedroom apartment and were able to call it home. As their careers got busier and busier they were not able to see each other as much as they would like. Brad Pitt starred in a movie with Jolie, and they fell in love so Anniston and Pitt filed for divorce.

I liked this biography because it explained her from the start of he life till now, and I learned some stuff I never knew about her. I also never knew she was in the show Friends, though I had heard of it. Jennifer Anniston is one of my favorite actresses and I was glad to learn more and more about her!

This book was fun to read (since I'm a fan of Jennifer Aniston) but really poorly written. Many quotes were used more than once throughout the course of the book.
