Gavin Pierce, a homicide detective with the Nassau County Police Department on Long Island, is in hot pursuit of a serial killer. As Pierce's hunt for the unconventional maniac progresses, there is no shortage of clues, evidence...or victims. All of which point to a predator whose expertise is matched only by an unnerving ability to escape capture. With this exciting and spiritual thriller in the vein of Frank Peretti, W.G. Griffiths offers up a chilling tale of one man's desperate fight against an evil that is darker and more violent than any he has encountered before. And when the final curtain is at last raised on this paranormal drama -- the hunter finds himself the hunted.

This is one of the best books I've ever read by a Christian author. I couldn't put it down and my heart was racing to the end. Though very little people know about him, I wish more would discover him so he'd write more books.

I bought this book in 2016 at my local library when they had a sale. And I'm glad that I bought it the action begins right from chapter one and keeps going until the end. What I enjoyed was the supernatural theme going along with the usuall crime story. It starts with Detective Gavin Pierce who looses his grandfather during a drunk driving accident. As he investigate this case he finds out the person who is causing the accidents is actually a demon who possessed a man and is using the accidents as a way to have "fun" Here's a few quotes from the Novel that are my favorites. "You're dealing Devil's explained Buck. They're immortal you can't kill them they can't die" "Gavin rolled his eyes. I have a much easier time believing truth that I can see." " In my business, Detective you often have to believe in order to see " This actually kept me reading further to see if Gavin would find this Demon and how he would handle the situation if he did. I absolutely enjoyed the suspense in this Novel it has kept me up at night. Superb writing by W.G.Griffith's. But there is one thing that I didn't like and it was the ending it was unexpected and simple but in a way different. But W.G.Griffith's is a new favorite Author that I have discovered and I'm curious to read his other books!

Haha, this book is not for everyone. I found this in a book sale shelf outside a grocery store, 8 years ago. Checked the plot at the back, tried to read the first few pages to help me decide if i should buy it, and i found myself reading almost the 1st 2 chapters of it, while standing... So eventually, I bought it. The first 80% of it is SO thrilling and exciting.. Until you reach the part where the protagonist lays over a hand to the bad guy and transfers his bad spirit into a TURTLE. I was like: WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED? Major LOL moment.

I learned later on that the author is Christian. Ok, nothing wrong with that-- i just wished it was indicated in the book that this is written by such, so the audience wont have a WTF moment. Haha.

Anyway, it was really good in general. I say, its more thrilling than the Dan Brown books I read. If not only for the unexpected LOL moment, this will get 5 stars from me. But the fact that I still remember the story after 8 or so years of reading it says a lot.

This is a Fun, exciting, thrilling novel nonetheless.

I loved the supernatural spin on things! Normally the bad guy characters can be figured out, but I kept wanting to know what bizarre accident Krogan would do next. This book had me on the edge of my bed, and I refused to set it down. I really thought the added history in the book with the different languages was super intriguing. This book definitely kept my imagination flowing and I enjoyed visualizing the pages.

I skimmed over the end, how sad is that? The boat scene was confusing, and there were some definite cheesy parts. It was ok, didn't leave much of a lasting impression but provided moderate entertainment level.

This book was recommended to me by one of my Young Women. It is a murder mystery. Interesting...but still not one of my favorite books. I liked it though.

This book did not do anything for me. The whole storyline became very far fetched and not even enjoyable.
