There's one recipe I don't think I'll ever try from this book - Kitty Wells' Hard-Cooked Egg Cobbler. (Hard boiled eggs, sliced into a pie shell, doused in sugar, butter and nutmeg and covered with more pastry.) But the stories are fun. It made me wish I'd read the book before I took a trip to Nashville. There were bits of information that would have added some stops and places to visit to the trip.
