“A book is a gift you can open again and again”

In life we will encounter two major things, our wants and our needs. Crowns of Love and Lies is a definite need. The story is illuminating and the characters are engaging. L.N. Reagan does an excellent job at articulating the minds of each character throughout every chapter. We get to know them on a deeper level, creating relationships, whether we want to or not. Each character has a unique backstory and we start to empathize and understand their actions, the good and the bad.

The main female character Kera is feisty, fiery and fierce. The main male character Donovan is brooding, brilliant and benevolent. We can’t help but root for them to reach their goals.

The pacing of the chapters are so well constructed and it flows so nicely. There is a clear beginning, middle, climax, and resolution, which is what I always look for in a great book. Each character who comes in contact with our main characters have a clear motive and goal and are simply not filler character which I commend L.N. Reagan greatly.

I highly recommend Crowns of Love and Lies for anyone who loves fantasy, romance, dragons and magic.

I will say, there is one specific character I would love to see more moving forward and I genuinely hope I get to see her and her magical persona in book 2!

Happy reading everyone!

Kera, princess of Asladell, finds herself experiencing love for the first time in her life. Unfortunately, it happens to not be with the man she is betrothed to. Kera meets Donovan, a mysterious and dark man. She is curious and drawn to him immediately. She continues spending time with him even after her father has announced her engagement to Aiden of Wells. Kera must make a decision. Will she follow her heart or do what her kingdom needs of her?

This tale includes dragons, ogres and trolls… oh my.

It is a quick paced story. It is an enjoyable read, a page turner that will leave you wanting more with each page.

It is a five star read! It’s perfect for those who like heat but not spice. I was an ARC reader for this fun and unexpected love story and I enjoyed every moment. I’m excited for the sequel!!

"Kera is the Princess of Asladell" is a captivating tale that kept me enthralled from beginning to end. The story unfolds around Kera, a strong-willed princess facing the daunting prospect of an arranged marriage to a dull Duke. Just as she grapples with this unwelcome fate, a handsome stranger enters her life, stirring both intrigue and trouble.

What sets this book apart is its well-crafted characters and the depth of emotion woven into the narrative. Kera's inner turmoil between duty and desire is palpable, making her a relatable and compelling protagonist. The mysterious stranger adds an exciting element of suspense, his actions keeping me guessing and eager to uncover his true intentions.

The plot is filled with twists and turns, keeping the reader engaged and invested in Kera's journey. As she volunteers to pursue the enigmatic thief who disrupts her sister's wedding, the stakes are raised, and the tension mounts. I found myself rooting for Kera as she navigates the complexities of love, loyalty, and self-discovery.

The romance between Kera and the stranger is beautifully portrayed, unfolding gradually and with genuine chemistry. Their relationship is fraught with obstacles, adding depth and intensity to the story. I found myself swept away by their emotional connection, eagerly turning the pages to see how their love story would unfold.

Ultimately, "Kera is the Princess of Asladell" is a delightful blend of romance, adventure, and intrigue. It poses thought-provoking questions about duty, sacrifice, and following one's heart. With its richly imagined world and compelling characters, this book is sure to captivate readers looking for a captivating escape into a fairy-tale realm.

4.5 rounded up to 5

This story follows Kera, a princess who longs for an adventure of her own, but when she is swept up in the chaos of a mysterious stranger, will she get more than she bargained for?

This book had me HOOKED! From the dedication, all the way to the last word, my heart needed to know more about these characters and their journies. I don't read a lot of fantasy as a general rule, but I loved this book and can not wait to explore more of the fantasy elements in the next installment.

Highlights:
There's a dragon who may or may not be nice.
There's a mean but beautiful witch.
While not being a spicy book, the tension is sooooo tensiony.
There's a love triangle that makes sense even when it hurts your feelings.
Our FMC is a badass who is constantly getting herself into trouble but also isn't afraid to get herself out of it.
THE ENDING!!!!!

**This book lost half a point for me purely based on the number of mistakes that I found, this is common in Indie books as there is a limited amount of money that can go into them. I only mention this here as I know this can sometimes be a deal breaker for readers.**

This is my first romantasy book. What a great introduction to the genre! The pacing is great - it never lagged - and I really enjoyed the “will they/won’t they” arc. I’m glad I had both books because I immediately started the next book. The character of Kera is so strong and adventurous, which I absolutely loved. As a thriller/crime fiction fan, this was a great way to test the waters of a new genre. The story had a lot of action and adventure ⚔️

A fun adventure with lots of twists and turns. Facing the responsibility of a crown, Kera finds herself torn between obligation and intrigue. I enjoyed how this book explored problems of multiple scale simultaneously. It was an interesting balance between romantic questions and the major issues facing the kingdoms of this world. The story ended on an unexpected note that made me look forward to reading the sequel.
