ELORA marks the first published work from Beanie Harper about fantasy, lust, and forbidden love. With hints of humor, adventure, and swoon-worthy men, ELORA is novel for those who like plot with their smut.
Saved from the streets as a child, Elora spent her adolescent years in the care of seven vampires. As time goes by and she enters adulthood, emotions evolve into something unexpected.
Pure love turns into burning lust, friendships are challenged, humanity is put to the ultimate test, and loyalty is earned.
Filled with passion and desire, this coming-of-age novel follows the story of a selfless human with soiled innocence and the vampires who will do anything to keep her safe.
*"Elora is an engaging and well-crafted novel that will appeal to fans of vampire romance and dark fantasy. The characters are compelling, the plot is full of twists and turns, and the writing is top-notch. If you're looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat, this is one to consider." -- Reader.*
*"One of the best books I've ever read! All the characters are incredible and make the whole story fit perfectly together. The romance, action, and writing of it was amazing and honestly I was obsessed with it long after reading it and still am." -- Limor Reader.*
*"Seven vampires, one human, and found family. Must I say more?" -- Reader.*
*"I don't often reread books. Even when I do, I don't often reread books within a month of the first read. I reread this book twice in one month, and then went back to specific parts every other week. It's that good, that well-written, and that creative with well thought-out characters who are dynamic, flawed, and beautiful. Beanie has great things ahead of her. I can't wait to see what she does in the future." -- Reader.*
*"A perfect comfort read! A beautiful blend of sugar and spice!" -- Reader.* *”Elora is a sweet sunshine character that had me in tears from laughing. While she is innocent and naive at times, she isn’t a pushover and she stands up for herself, which I found to be a refreshing change from what I usually see with characters like her. THE SPICE! The spice between these characters is unmatched. This author did not hold back with these guys.” – Reader* *”Beanie Harper’s debut novel is utterly delicious! Elora and her men are beyond all-consuming and entirely addictive. If you love Why Choose filled with possessive and growly vampires who would fall to their knees all for one girl, then this is SO for you.” – Books & Magic Reader* *If you want unique characters, unique plot line, plot twist, sub/dom relationships, BDSM, vamps/werewolf, the best smut you've ever read, please please please read this.” – Reader*
This was nasty. I feel filthy and not in a good way.
This book was written for people with very specific kink combinations. It's definitely a book where the girls that get it, get it. Sadly, I do not.
── .✦ The book is about a human girl who was abandoned at around 4 years old, found by 7 hot vampires who are thousands of years old, and then they kinda took her in and she grew up with them.
There are only so many different ways for that kind of story to go, unfortunately for me, this one made me feel uneasy. I knew this was risky and I still read it anyway so honestly this is on me lol
I'm always down to read anything, I've read a lot of weird shit in my life, and usually pretty good at suspending my belief (which is why I gave this one a chance in the first place). But I fear I have found my limits.
Disclaimer ! nothing sexual happens until she was 18, the vampires didn't feel or think anything sexual towards Elora, the fmc, until she was of legal age.
Doesn't mean it wasn't still weird, though. The author tried really hard to not mention "father figure", "family" and made Elora constantly refer to them as "her friends" and "my guys". Just because she said it all the damn time doesn't make it true.
The fact is, some of them raised her. Duke, one of the mmcs, literally used to bathe her and change her clothes when she was a child. Just because they are not "father figures" to Elora doesn't mean their acts aren't fatherly. Duke used to carry wet wipes to clean Elora's dirty hands when she was younger for fuck's sake.
Not all of them raised her as hardcore as Duke did, but they still helped raise her to be the person she was.
The only one I did not feel weird about was Lucifer because he barely interacted with her when she was young, went away for like 5 years during her formative years and came back when she was legal. And maybe Quin but that's only because I have a crush on the guy (he can cook, sue me) but the rest? Creepy as hell.
Making Elora have the personality (and mental capability) of a 5 year old when she was nineteen (could even be twenty according to her) is also a CREEPY decision.
She was described as super smart (captain of every single club in school or whatever), top of her class and all that bullshit, but she didn't know what a condom was. She didn't know what goes on in a sexual act. She didn't know a dick could get hard, she thought the guys were hiding candy bars in their pants. She didn't know what jerking off meant. She didn't know what getting horny was.
I learned all this shit when I was 13 in school and I was a dumb & lazy student. Elora's excuse was she was so busy with extracurriculars & she always missed health class. Yeah right, I call that lazy writing.
And the guys were so hellbent on protecting Elora's innocence (they thought it was cute) and it made me want to vomit. You all want to keep Elora acting like A CHILD. That's what you're all attracted to. A NINETEEN YEAR OLD TODDLER.
They were sO ProTecTive of her and didn't want her to make stupid teenage mistakes, but let her learn her lesson (like a PARENT would, so much of not being a PARENTAL FIGURE), then punished her because she was being a brat and acted irresponsible. NOO NOT THEIR INNOCENT ELORA getting drunk and high!
How did they punish her you ask? By bringing her to a dungeon red room and fucking her six ways to sunday with seven different dicks. That will teach her alright!
I think I would've somewhat enjoyed this more if Elora had acted her age. The fact that she acted like a child at a ripe age of 19 rubbed me the wrong way in an already sickening plot. Can we all please stop romanticizing grown women with a child-like personality please. It's not cute.
If I could give this a zero star I would. The hype around this book is way off base. It’s not a sexy tale of a vampire harem and their relationships with the girl they saved. It’s actually a shock and awe type story about a young girl being groomed by predatory men.
The language used throughout the book evoked the same response from me. Elora speaks like a pre-pubescent child and the men play on the fact that she’s innocent and needs to be taught about sex.
The punishment chapter was basically just a porn fest for anyone with a group sex/daddy fetish. It wasn’t sexy or erotic. It was actually disturbing, that these men who proclaim to love Elora treat her - in their own words - as a “pretty little slut.” All because she went out for a night and came home drunk in the arms of a boy, who was actually her own age. God forbid.
I skimmed it for the most part and ended up DNF’ing it at the aforementioned chapter, because in all honesty it left me feeling sleazy and in need of a sterile environment and a safe space. Also I will be sure to never be rescued by a bunch of vampires who want to fill me with a butt plug and use me as a sex toy. Give me Edward Cullen any day over this.
Honestly shocked by all the positive reviews. This book is WEIRD and the relationship that evolves between Elora and the men after literally being raised by them is deeply unsettling. Despite being 18/19 there's so much emphasis on how mentally child like she still is, and the dynamic wouldn't have been anywhere near as strange if this wasn't the case. Also, if I had to read "girly parts" one more time I'd of genuinely gouged my eyes out. DNF
★4.5/5! i love elora and her men! this is just the perfect mixture of smut and fluffiness - which i am a sucker for along with an amazing plot twist. the bonus chapters + extra little scenes where the absolute best, my comfort book atm 🫂! don’t let the cover fool you one of the spiciest books i’ve read ever (the last two bonus spice scenes at the end did something to me, forest + butcher room IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW. i just love everything about this, mainly the relationships -romantic & friendship.
This is the first time I force myself to finish a book that makes me feel so bad, but I did it so I can write a review having all the information.
The books has trigger warnings, but I feel the need to add this because they don’t seem enough. First of all, take the warnings on the start of the book extremely seriously, because I had to skip some scenes from how unsettled and uncomfortable I felt. This book made all the other BDSM books that I ever read seem like the ultimate vanilla sex. I not only had second hand embarrassment for the FMC, I fully believe she’s the most pathetic and unlikeble female lead character that I ever read.
But other than this, the points that made me really dislike the book and give it 2 stars (that are only for the good writing):
The story felt really pedophilia-y, what was really disturbing. If you switch Elora’s age for that of a 11yo, it’s incredibly believable that’s what you’re reading about.
1. The FMC acts like a child, using ponytails as a 19yo, licking lollypops and saying she likes to go to the doctor because she receives a juice box after
2. She refers to her vagina as “girly part” and her stomach as “tommy”. She also giggles at everything, just like a child would
3. Besides being the top of her class and wanting a medical degree, she doesn’t know why her “girly parts” tingle, what a penis looks like, what a condom is or how babies are made (please consider she has full access to a phone with internet)
4. The guys say she’s their baby/princess, they like her innocence and ignorance, and some of them asked her to call them “daddy”
5. Throughout the book, their size differences are constantly emphasized, describing Elora as super tiny in every physical aspect (EVERY), and how this turn the guys on.
6. All of this paired with the daddy kink, the context of them raising her, the dacryphilia and them keeping things from her/making all the decisions just made all seem manipulative and grooming
7. All this makes it really hard to believe they like her for anything besides a sextoy that’s convenient for them, or that they even respect her at all, but the book is pretty heavy on aftercare and love declarations, so I guess they love her
Besides this, the plot was pretty bad, had some holes, and just made the protagonist seem even more heavily stupid. The only moment when I felt was created to be the ultimate plot moment was the one that made me think they should just die already. This book made me feel nothing besides wishing for a therapist or a way to unread it.
↠ The writing is not exactly professional. There's something too amateurish and infantile about it. However, there's also an underlying... wistfulness. I could almost feel the author's deep desire for her fantasy, for this world, to be her heroine and live this idyllic life with her eternal loves.
I'm not saying that's enough to recommend this book, but just something I wanted to acknowledge.
Alright, FUCKKK no. Dnf. It’s cringe and uncomfortable. She’s 4 and thinks like a 20yo, "I hummed as I pushed some suds against my chin"??? TALK LIKE A GODDAMN 4YO!! What 4yo knows the word "suds"??!!
Then she’s 18 (actually 20) and thinks like a 6yo who thinks the erection in one of MLs pants is a candy bar??!! That’s disgusting infantilism and so cringe I want to chock her with my bare hands.
"It wasn’t like he hadn’t seen my butt before. He used to give me baths when I was a kid!" DON’T FKG SAY THAT, HOLY SHTTT. Gross Gross Gross!! "Had he already forgotten the hundreds of baths, showers, and clothing changes he’d given me as a child?" IM THE ONE WHO WANTS TO FORGET!!! ME!! Im gonna bash my head against the concrete to give me short-term amnesia!!
Finally, we attained peak predatory behavior with one of the MLs who said "You’re legal." NOPE, NOPITY FK NO!!
If I could give negative stars, I fkg would! I just wanted a bit of taboo age gap, not fkg acid reflux!! 😭🤡
0/5 DNF. I started this book after reading all the positive reviews. This book is ...odd. The child like mentality of Elora and the grooming that seems to be taking place is really off-putting. The writing could use a lot of help grammatically. Another reader shocked by the hundreds of positive reviews. Do not recommend. Smut was cringe - worthy. Confusing male anatomy as a "king size candy bar" on a few occasions just ... 🤦♀️
I normally do not write reviews, but I feel like I need to in order to warn anyone who is thinking of buying this. BE WARNED
1) it's kind of gross how Elora's Foster "parents" end up all wanting to bang her. YOU RAISED HER. Also, no child in existence has ever fantasized about her dads either, ew.
3) This book has ABSOLUTELY no story. All they do is stay inside their huge house and have kinky sex. Once in every 50 to 100 pages, she might go outside once. For a little bit. Probably accompanied too.The only thing that progresses the story in the first 400+ pages is that elora gets kidnapped for a hot minute. (Which just ends up in the book becoming 99% porn because now she isn't allowed to leave the house anymore)
3) the 6 or what 7 boys? Are almost all the same. All men fit either into the category rough/badboy or soft/caring. You could've had the same effect with 3 men since most don't stand out character wise. And they also have this weird hivemind going on, which is totally gross. It started kinda interesting when I thought it was just between lucifer and Elora but quickly became another ick for me
4) The smut is incredibly mid, which is kind of bad when you take into consideration that this book has nothing else to offer. The only romance buildup I felt was between lucifer and Elora. All the others just read like it was plain sex but no spark. I can go on about all the horrible sex scenes that all begin with Elora being ignorant and innocent about sex and end with her waking up all cleaned up in her bed but I just cba
I DNF'd after roughly 460 pages. Maybe I should've given this book 2 stars to thank it for making me realise what kind of smut I absolutely despise.
Sometimes, wattpad stories should stay on wattpad.
So you’re telling me that all the booktok girlies are hyping up a book about a girl, who’s mentally 5 years old, getting groomed and doing kinky shit with a group of vampires who are basically her father figures??? A big fucking no for me
i already loved this book when it was on wattpad but the added scenes+ bonus chapters were fireee 🔥🥵 and thank you Beanie for adding the letter scene. I LOVED IT
Great book! I love all the relationships between Elora and her men. The author has a great writing technique that allows you to escape and really immerse yourself into elora’s world. I love all her books and can’t wait to see what else she has planned!🌸✨✨
The good… Writing not bad. Sex scenes pretty steamy when I pushed certain things out of my mind.
The ok…. The guys: I think the author did pretty good job of making things a little less creepy because none of the guys were really paternal to Elora except for Duke. And with Duke, it did help that there was such a long separation where he hadn’t seen her or acted as a father figure for her. Plus, the fact that they were vampires and had no issues killing humans after sex drove home the fact they obviously didn’t have human sensibilities. Added to that someone who’s lived for hundreds or thousands of years may not see much difference between a human who’s lived 18 years versus 25. Of course, my human, female, sensibilities gave me the heebeejeebees when thinking about it too deeply.
The bad…. Elora. Come on. Making her an innocent virgin is one thing. Making her completely ignorant of ANYTHING sexual or human body related was ridiculous. Especially when writing the girl as an OCD, overachieving, valedictorian of her class, in a “modern” timeframe. She would know the difference between a hard dick and a candy bar in that situation… like really? The author wrote Elora soooo child-like. It made me sick to my stomach. Additionally, this was a classic case of daddy issues galore and when that’s turned into kink..: definitely not my thing.
Overall, I was close to a DNF but ending up skimming to get through to the end.
This is basically like Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, except Snow White is a stupid ditzy emotionally-immature MORON and the dwarves are super sexy vampires. Okay, it's nothing like Snow White. Seriously, this girl is so stupid it's actually painful, and all the other characters constantly mention how ditzy she is. But let's be honest, I didn't exactly choose this one for the plot (which is a good thing since there are maybe only 4 pages without smut). I hope no one I know ever reads this book... I wouldn't be able to look you in the eye. *does the sign of the cross*
I first read this book on wattpad a long time ago. There are definitely things in the book that need to be fixed. A lot of punctuation and grammatical errors, but to be expected, so no harm done. The book reminds me of the anime diabolic lovers, i believe thats where the author got the inspiration from. Its full of smut, a lot of smut.
De här va de värsta jag läst. Like literally, behöver purify Mina ögon med holy water cause OMG NEJJJJ. ELORA din fula lilla pick me, jag klarar inte av dig mer sån psycho chick “ im in love with my 7 vampires” bro you actually are a Who** aren’t you. Du skäms inte ens. Eugene, Dane, Duke, Felix, Quin, Theo och lucifer do better like omg.
Thank you to Niss for telling me to read this book because I binged this book and ate it up like my last meal. This book is a reverse harem romance with vampires. It is 7 men and 1 woman. This is precisely what I needed after binging the Hunger Games trilogy, it had a decent plot with rounded characters but the smut is what I really loved.
Elora is a kind-hearted, innocent young woman who was saved on the streets by seven vampires, each of them being steamy fucking hot and oh so yummy. This is definitely my favourite reverse harem book by far and the vampire aspect was just an added bonus. If you are looking for some plot with your toe-curling smut this book is for you.
Just a little note however, this book was originally written on Wattpad and was so popular it was developed into a physical book, so the writing is more Wattpad style than some of the books you may be used to, but that didn't deter me at all because I still loved Beanie Harpers writing and attention to the small details. I genuinely have nothing bad really to say about this book and I would give the romance in it an 11/10. This is a must-read for my vampire and RH lovers.
3.5/5 ⭐️s - definitely not the best book I’ve read, not even close. But did I somewhat enjoy it? Yes 😬
I have to admit, some parts made me feel extremely uneasy. Elora, the FMC, is 19, top of her class, captain of debate and various clubs and yet, she’s completely clueless about sex. What’s a boner? Condoms? Why does she feel tingly between her legs? And the fact that she acts like an actual toddler, constantly craving candy and sweets, just gave me the ick. I honestly wanted to throw up.
That said, I did enjoy it more towards the end when Elora was in her mid to late 20s. I also liked all seven of the men, each had distinct personalities, and for once, I could actually tell them apart 🤣 I don’t know why, but I’m always drawn to the doctor/caretaker type (Dane in this case) and the fun/flirty one (Theo).
A quote I thought was cute:
“I’ve lived thousands of lives, but the only one that was ever worth living is the one with you in it, Elora. Let’s have our own happily ever after.”
So, yeah, this book isn’t for everyone. It took me a few days to get through it because I needed breaks due to the ick factor, but it’s definitely not the worst!
5/5📚 5/5🌶️ This will forever be the best reverse harem that ever existed.❤️
I love all of them the same🥰 (but here is the unofficial ranking): 1. Dane 2. Lucifer 3. Quin 4. Felix 5. Eugene 6. Theo 7. Duke
Because I started this in the other review I will do it here as well, pet name ranking: 1.Love❤️ 1.Kitten❤️ 2.Sweetheart 3.Doll 4.Angel 5.Princess 6.Baby (my biggest ick)
i was obsessed when it was on wattpad but now that it’s here i am amazed by how good this was. i am in love. bought the paperback and am waiting for it to arrive, i would definitely recommend buying this book
pleasantly (very) kinky n smutty with heartfelt emotions. no further comment. 4 ⭐️.
nah I’m a yapper here is the further comment: Elora is so fk innocent it hurt my brain, BUT the guys were hilarious in dealing with it. Quin, Lucifer, and Felix were definitely my favs, and that last scene with them all together made my JAW DROP.
LOVED the kinks and the respectful way they did it all. loved the fact they were knowledgeable about it too, and knew all about subdrop and consent without making it feel to ‘cute’.
I would have loved this that much more if they hadn’t also raised her, that (especially in the beginning) gave me such a ick. after a while I just forgot about it and enjoyed the book, without giving it much weight.
