The Rig Veda: An Introduction to the Oldest Sacred Book in Hinduism

Rate this book
The Rig Veda is often regarded as the world's oldest text. It is the most authentic record of the ancient world's languages and the best preserved of all ancient literature. Poetry, folklore, mythology, ritual, ancient science and culture, and, most significantly, ancient religion, yoga, and spirituality are all found in the Rig Veda. Such old truths are not only valuable in this resurrected search for the spiritual meaning of life, but they also teach us that this quest lies at the heart of our true nature in life and the key to our role on Earth. This book reveals the Rig Veda to the reader through the lens of consciousness. It is an attempt to revive the Rig Veda and make it relevant to modern times.

A must read to get an inkling of how deep the ancient texts were and describes the inefficiency of the modern language in interpretation them.

This is essentially a book report on the Rig Veda, it has no part, quote, example or anything else from the book itself, just Atman’s thoughts on it.
Despite this I still want to read the Rig Veda.
