I watched him die. I watched the breath leave his lungs for the last time. I watched the blood spill from his flesh, coating the floor below.
So, why do I feel him watching me? Months later, when I am finally able to piece my life back together... When I am finally happy and safe... When I am finally surrounded by people I love... people who love me.

In this romantic thriller, join Lucy on the roller coaster of pain, fear, heartache, and love. As she rids her life of one nightmare, only to enter another. As she realizes that sometimes, the only options left are to fight, or die.

This book contains elements of physical, emotional, verbal, and sexual abuse, miscarriage, intense violence, language, and pretty much every trigger warning you can imagine... it also contains elements of toe curling scenes that will make you wish you had your own Austin Becker... enjoy at your own risk.

4 1/2 stars because I needed more to that ending! 5 stars if there’s a sequel!

This was a 4 star read (would’ve been 5 but the awkward dialogue formatting and the lack of editing drove me nuts) right up until the end, where it bumped right down to a 3. I need just a crumb of closure, please.

I’m a fast reader so I saw a comment on tiktok and gave this a shot.

First I’m so glad that mf died. He is absolutely terrible and the fact that he was able to kill her best friend and violate her is insane. Eric is pitiful as well. This entire book had me pissed off . However the 4 stars are due to the ending being incomplete. The epilogue did not add any depth to the ending either. Despite the grammar and spelling issues I was able to keep up. I want to know if they live. Also the de-gloving injury I need a better explanation of how he was chained to the wall it’s very hard to self induce that type of injury so that was odd to me as well.

This book is good! Really good! You really FEEL throughout the entire thing.

What I felt most was that ending… absolute WTF. It’s like getting really into a show then watching the ‘last’ episode only to find out it’s been cancelled. I need more!! We deserve more!

I wanted to love this so badly… the concept of the book was great but just not really executed the way I was hoping… there were a few spelling errors and that kind of distracted me. The story also ended SO abruptly, I would have loved an extra chapter to wrap everything up nicely..

Not ideal to read two domestic violence books back to back. The story was so sporadic. The relationships and ending just didn’t make sense. Overall wouldn’t recommend. There was a story under all the fluff and I could understand but no bueno.

I wish there was a better epilogue 😭 would’ve gotten 5 stars if there was another chapter of epilogue.
