If you love dogs like I do it's always enjoyable to read inspiring stories about them. This easy to read book tugged at my heartstrings. The stories are short and the book itself is a quick read.

This is a perfectly-enjoyable book, as long as you know what you're getting into. The book is -unsurprisingly -about puppies. Puppies and families who have had things happen to them, that [usually] end up okay, like puppies rescuing children from rivers, puppies helping trapped men from overturned cars, etc. etc. You've heard puppy stories like these all your life; the Steigers just assemble them in a collection of short puppily anecdotes. So if you like puppies, here's your ticket.

But... and this is NOT a "knock" on the book- if you love puppies and dogs, then you'll also be aware that their lifespans are shorter than ours. Which means, to our sensibilities, they "cross the rainbow bridge" before we are psychologically-prepared for them to do so. Be aware that there are a lot of bridges crossed in this book!

As a compliment, though: this book made me look at my own furry fellows with new love and admiration. Worth a read -just keep the box of Puffs close-by.

The stories about dogs were cute. The stories were short and only lasted a page or two, so it was an easy book to pick up and put down. The downside to that is the fact that it's hard to relate or get emotionally involved in the book, but overall it was fun to read and a nice change of pace!

I LOVED this book. These stories made me laugh and cry. I've never had a book cause me to be so emotional.
