But with my pack by my side, I know my sister will soon be safe in my arms again.
Knotless is a contemporary sweet omegaverse romance where the heroes build up the FMC. There is no cheating, no choosing, no MM, and all-around sweetness. Potential trigger warnings.
Violet Fox is a lover of foxes and the colour purple...
When she's not writing about werewolves, vampires, and faeries, she can be found watching cute fox videos online, or drinking a ridiculous amount of tea and cof
I really had a hard time finishing this. The first book I did enjoy but this one dodnt really gel with me. The FMC to day she was 25 really didn't seem like it I would of put her at 18-20 she seemed really immature. With what she kept doing with her packmates ex it was just childish (eye roll). And second the book really just seemed to focus on her sister running away and not on her or her pack. She just completely annoyed me.

**Please note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Otherwise, I try to avoid spoilers, but I can’t guarantee there are none. So, be aware of that, if you read this before reading the book.**
Unfortunately, I can’t say I liked this second part. I really liked part one, even though I had some things I could have complained about. I purposefully didn’t mention them, because I try to don’t spoiler things. And some themes are always perceived differently, and when I mention those things other people, who read it, may be influenced by it and that can tarnish the experience too. I know that it can, because it happens to me sometimes, when I read reviews beforehand (mostly because there is content I’m not sure about), and in that way involuntary read spoilers of some situations. That really can tarnish the experience for me, even though I try to leave it behind and make my own judgment. But that doesn’t always work.
So, I try to avoid spoilers, though if there are specific situations, which I don’t like, but can’t describe it without any details I write it down. But I always write a warning at the beginning of my reviews or hide the parts which have spoilery content.
Here, I don’t think I can really keep away from details. As I already said, I didn’t like this second part. I liked Renée in book 1. And the guys were good, too. Sure, there were some grammatical problems and issues. But I don’t take those in the rating, since we are all human and no one is perfect. As long as I know what I read, I just ignore that.
In book two, Renée really changes drastically, and the whole story didn’t make sense anymore to me. Her sister is gone. Which was to be suspected after that cliffy at the end of part one. But it was strange. There was a time jump right at the beginning, stating that Chloé isn’t abducted, but ran away with this beta boyfriend Patrick. The person, who wrote Renée on her mobile phone, sent them and the police on a goose chase for no reason. And Chloé is hiding, and no one knows why. But there are photographs of them. So, everyone knows she is alive.
Even though Renée knows that, she still writes that pretender. Everyone tells her she shouldn’t do that and reports it to the police. But she does it anyway? She was described as being a careful person, who is responsible and reasonable. Here she wasn’t at all. Now, she is more like her sister Chloé. Famous, has photoshoots and interviews, goes into make-up and all that. Has a bodyguard and a PA. She doesn’t think of herself as ugly anymore, or something. Now, she is cherished and all.
The author writes about how worried Renée is about Chloé. Sure, she thinks about her sister often. So frequently, it is annoying and makes every interaction strange. Like “I’m happy now, but I don’t deserve to be happy as long as Chloé isn’t here and happy”. And this is repeated over and over again. At the same time, she kind of blames her sister for it, too. Like Chloé should have known better and so on. Whereas her sister Chloé now changed drastically, as far as I see it.
Otherwise, why did Renée start the feud with Vivianne Fox? Again, she was described as the reasonable sister? But she goes for a person, who is known to be vindictive? Who even didn’t have her on the radar at all? That was just plain stupid behavior. Okay, I get it, the author wanted some drama. But it should make sense.
And we get introduced to a lot of people, who aren’t even relevant in the grand scheme of things. For example, Heather? Renée and her only meet one time. They talk. The information didn’t even help her in any way. Of course, it shows the shitty character Vivienne Fox has. But we already know that from the things we saw from her and the things Henry told her. Same with Vivianne’s mom.
As I said, it was redundant. Especially, because the feud was resolved in the end. But without any impact on Vivienne Fox’s behavior/career. So, not really necessary.
Then when Chloé and Patrick are back from hiding. We learn some things about Patrick, but the same thing. It was for drama, but nothing that concerned Renée. It’s a passive story thread. Furthermore, it wasn’t even explained how Chloé was made responsible for the debt, if she isn’t part of the business, or what happened to her during the time she was gone. She tells Renée the story, but we don’t get to read it ourselves. We get a time jump, and then Renée retrospect passively about the talk.
And the whole story was senseless in many ways. Meetings of old characters, who don’t have any part of the main story at all. The things that involved Renée and the pack are the paparazzi stories. Though again, some are caused by themselves. Like Renée’s interactions with Vivianne and the retaliation. The rest was solved passively. I didn’t get much depth here as in part one. And the steamy moments, which were already not my thing in book one, were dull. It’s a fast matter as it is.
Then in the end, Renée is pregnant and they bond. That’s it. No epilogue at all. And that’s something I don’t like at all. If a pregnancy is mentioned, then I want to see the baby too. I want it to be concluded and see how family life is working. But no. An abrupt story ending.
Unfortunately, because of all the issues, I can’t give 5 stars. Luckily for the author, my rating goes from 3 to 5 stars. I rarely go below that, because no book is that bad for me. But what could have been a great duology for me, is now mediocre. This part gets 3 stars. I leave it at that.
What happened? I loved the first book but I was so disappointed in this one.
Renee in book 1 was an awkward introvert who dedicated her time to volunteering at an animal shelter. The fact that she was so down to earth and real was what each of her guys were drawn to. I was looking forward to seeing her growth in this book as she came into her omega. Instead of growing, Renee had a personality transplant. The girl who seemed to want a quiet life with purpose suddenly wants nothing but the spotlight. She drops her shelter work and does what? Interviews? Appearances? Even as she is reveling in being famous, she believes she is morally superior to people like her sister who she views as shallow. She does occasionally have thoughts or comments about how she should use her fame for good instead of being like other influencers. Maybe the author was trying to show she was going to be a philanthropist instead of just a celebrity, but her actions don’t back it up, so it comes across as looking down on people like Chloe who work for fame. Her one and only attempt to actually do good seems to be just a publicity stunt because it is more about helping her family’s image than helping animals.
The plot is almost nonexistent. The pack formed at the end of book one, so romance takes a back seat in this book. That’s fine when you have an actual story. Many, many series have relationships formed early. Over the later books, we usually see those relationships deepen as they fight whatever battles together. Here the “battle” seems to be against Renee’s stupidity. We simply see her go out into the world, stumble around, and then occasionally come home for sex. The giant cliffhanger of book 1 is explained away almost immediately as not being what we thought. Chloe is missing, but not really. She wasn’t kidnapped. She just left with Paddy. So instead of a book of search and rescue, Renee is just hoping Chloe will come to her senses and come home. There are a couple of “villains” but they are almost created by Renee. She repeatedly makes stupid and spiteful decisions that bring drama. For example, she is getting texts from an anonymous number claiming they have Chloe. Renee knows this isn’t true but she keeps responding to them anyway. Why? This plotline goes nowhere. Similarly, the largest conflict of the book, Vivian, Henry’s ex, is solved with just a conversation. It went nowhere. Vivian also becomes a villain simply because Renee made her one. She COULD have been a great foe. Based on what we learned in the first book, I expected Vivian to have a hard time with Henry moving on. I expected her to come cause trouble, but Renee throws the first punch out of nowhere. The. she repeatedly stoops to Vivian’s level. I don’t need my characters to be perfect, but I do need to be able to root for them. Book 1 Renee I rooted for. In book 2, I cheered when Renee’s assistant called out her bad behavior.
I wish this book focused more on her relationship with her pack, that was very much lacking in this book. This story also involves a blow out with a side character and there is a lot of time dedicated to it, but nothing comes from it. Characters are not really moved or changed or even impacted by it, honestly if you take out all interaction with this side character and the fight then the story doesn’t change in any way. It’s just filler with no goal in mind. The fight also has a lack luster end. If your going to put something in then make it impact the characters, the only impact it has was turning our leading girl in a catty jerk that was now someone a reader can’t connect to. I would have much rather read more about pack dates and the story continuing after where it ends, rather than the unnecessary drama the female lead takes part in. I could also go without her gross personality change after she became an omega, where did the sweet sensible girl go? Maybe the author plans to write more books in this world so that side character will come back, I guess then it makes more sense, but for this book it was unnecessary. This story seemed to wander a lot, without a goal in mind, but also I found myself not liking the leading lady much at parts. I loved Renée in the first book but in this she just didn’t have the same feel.
The writing was okay but it seemed like the author got lost in the story, one time the pack has a house and another moment they live in an apartament, then it goes back to being a house again.
The sister runs away and she doesn’t go after her? She keeps saying her sister is an adult but very dumb and gullible, very trusting of others and doesn’t know how the world works, not very kind words for someone that says her sister is her best friend and she would do anything for her, but doesn’t go after her the moment she goes missing?
She always says that she won’t let any big bad Alphas hurt her little sister but the moment she notices she is in a bad relationship she doesn’t do anything about it, not even talk to her sister about the bad decisions she is making. At no moment at all I get the impression she is 25 years old, she seems younger by the way she behaves.
The other members of her pack seem to lose themselves, you hear about them but it doesn’t seem she is a relationship with them at all. They get lost in the background.
I liked the premise of the story, and I liked their relationship, but it has room for improviments on the writing, specially in the incosistencies on the story line. Would definitely give this author another chance in the future.

“Seriously, Renée. Stop. You’re an adult. This is beneath you.” - pretty much sums up book 2
I really liked the FMC (Renée) from the first book, why did we get the sister imposter? This FMC acts childish and starts becoming her fashion influencer sister who cares about selfies, clothes, and superficial things. What happened to the strong, independent woman who loves to volunteer, loves animals and spending time with loved ones? I was looking forward to seeing this new omega blossom with her new pack but instead we get a lackluster version. I’m disappointed that we didn’t get the pack dynamic expected from Omegaverse books. We don’t really see much park interaction.
Unnecessary book 2. Storylines that went nowhere and storylines not even about our MCs. Book 2 should’ve been dedicated to Chloe.
Stars: 🪻(1⭐️)
Spice: 🌶️🌶️ (Breeding, chase play, 🍑play, 🪢)
T/W: gun violence (reference on page), bullying (on page, keyboard warriors), drug use (🌱)(on page), parent death (reference in past), kidnapping (main storyline, reference on page)
The FMC became everything she complained about in book 1. The writing was inconsistent. She says over and over again how her sister isn’t smart in both books. Then all of a sudden she says her sister isn’t stupid. Lots of rehashing for no real reason imo. The fights she picks … why? And her sister and her petty quarrels got way more time and attention than her pack. Her sister shows back up and she “moves back home”. Not goes to stay at her dads for a while? I found this book frustrating to read. And the attention to the animals was over the top. They go to show her the nest for the first time but Henry is going to miss it because the cat is sleeping on him so he can’t move? I don’t know anyone who would behave that way. The way she interacted with her ex was odd. Like every time she drops everything to talk to him. I also found the way the pack interacted and talked to each other odd. It was very formal for brothers and forever friends.

So I was very excited about this duet and couldn’t wait for the second book. The second book is a complete 180 in terms of character and personality for the FMC. She overnight becomes this self absorbed fame revenge seeking omega and it just so misaligns with the personality of her in the first book that it can’t be ignored. There was also an entire plot based around the sister. I would have loved for us to see a plot around the pack formation or her growth in general. I feel like we got the sisters book in this and I didn’t want that. I love Violet’s work and will still continue to read. Sometimes an author takes a path that you as the reader don’t like and it’s less about the writing and more I just didn’t enjoy the changes. For some they may enjoy this story. Still worth the read for closure if you read book 1.
This book just showcases every single thing I hate about society. As soon as FMC becomes an Omega her personality changes. She went from a sweet, shy, caring and loving beta and changed into a spoiled Omega Princess. She’s turned into an exact replica of Chloé in book one. She’s become so self absorbed and vain and petty. She’s not even the same person. She’s Chloe 2.0 and I hate her.
The writing and plot are boring. I DNF’d at 30% and there was no further relationship development. FMC is stuck so far up her own ass that she doesn’t even care when she is emotionally hurting one of her guys. She’s just sickening.
Also, as with book one, the only person in the pack she is close to is the beta, Jake. She spends no time with any of the other guys. I honestly don’t see that changing, even if I had managed to finish this whole garbage story.
This was painful. The FMC’s personality takes a deep dive and the sexism present in book 1 just gets worse. She dumps on her sister (who they somehow make out is a terrible person because she’s interested in sparkles and likes attention??? Even though the FMC launches herself into attention seeking from page 1) and is condescending and awful about her. Why do you need people to tell you you’re prettier than your sister?? You know how hurtful it was to hear, shut that stuff down! Writing realistic female characters does not just apply to your FMC. IT APPLIES TO ALL FEMALE CHARACTERS. If you write everyone abut your FMC as some sexist caricature for plot development your work turns out…well, like this.
The only reason to read this was to see Renée bond her mates. It’s literally the last few pages of the book. The entirety of the book Renée is actually insufferable- what was the point of picking a fight with Vivienne? What did she get out of it? To end up apologizing and nothing happening? Why was the point? Why would Chloe go off with Paddy it still makes no sense why they were hiding or where they were hiding? Nothing happened in this book that would’ve made reading this duology worthwhile. The most interesting part was her dad finally being a dad and then learning her mates were going to be dads and then it was over! Why?!
I have to agree with the other reviews about this book being a sadly unsatisfying continuation of the FL's journey. It's like she matured backwards. We get so little of any development between her and her new pack. Instead the focus is on the FL being catty to one of her pack member's exes and oddly enough, her little sister who has disappeared in clearly suspicious circumstances. The ex I could understand if she had handled her defamation of Henry in an intelligent way. Instead, she went high school mean girl only to bow out at the end. It's like she lost all of her empathy in the sequel.
So... Book 1 wasn't great and book 2 was a lot worse. This book she turns into everything she criticised Chloe for, she goes from volunteering to becoming an influencer which she always looked down on Chloe on. Book One wasn't much better though, although a lot of people liked it. She makes snide remarks throughout the whole thing with Chloe just to basically become her in book 2 😂😂 Awful writing. No plot and just did not keep my attention. Shallow Main character and someone who I cannot relate to at all... Don't think I'll be reading anything drom this author again.
I’m by sure what just happened. I really didn’t like this character. She was so childish. Starting a feud the way she did? This book felt like Chloe was always there and she wasn’t! Like we couldn’t go one chapter without her being mentioned. She should’ve just been the main character. And also this book felt incomplete. And that ending? So abrupt. It did t really focus on her and her lack at all.
Violet Fox is becoming more and more a favorite author of mine 💜 I love hee omegaverse romances. I just can't get enough. Renee went through a total transformation in this book, and sometimes, I got mad at her. But it was more realistic for me.. Being in the shadows of a sister for a long time resonates with me. I think it was well-written, and I was happy with how everything worked out. Recommend this to all the omegaverse lovers.
This book ends in an HEA much deserved for the characters. I really love Renee and her pack. This book leaves right where it left off of. I do love Renee and her pack put with this one I do wish there was more to her dates and pack coming together.
I do wish with this one there was a little bit more of a focus on the FMC I felt like that did get taken away a little bit.
But overall it was a good book with a good ending.
The FMC literally became a different character. And her weird obsession with the MMC's ex was downright weird. She was just a bitch honestly.
I usually love omegas, especially feisty ones, but this one was just an entitled idiot, who became just like her sister was before she went missing - but also basically said she's not "one of those girls"...spoiler, she is.
The "sub plot" of the missing sister was a bit of nothing. It was completely random. The FMC's ex just happened to be involved. 🙄

Knotless: Love Me Knot Part Two by Violet Fox. This is the conclusion to Renee and her packs story. This picks up right where book one left off. I enjoyed the book. I just wished it was more about Renee and her guys than Chloe and what was happening with her. It did seem like Renee's story was secondary to Chloe. But all in all, I enjoyed Renee, Henry, Ezra, Jake, and Alexander.
This book was hard to get through. Renee is incredibly catty and petty. It seems weird to intentionally write a main character who is this shallow and unlikable, but it’s worse if it’s unintentional and the author actually thought they had a good character here.
I was mildly intrigued by the Chloe storyline, but in the end, the explanation didn’t make a lot of sense.
The premise was interesting, but most of the confrontations and revelations were banal. The sex scenes were lackluster. A sharp edit of this and the first book could have been done to combine them into one story. I was more interested in what happened to the heroine’s sister than the heroine herself. Hopefully the third book is more concise.
I usually wouldn’t rate a book I didn’t finish but oh my god. This was painful to read. Renee was a completely different character. I hated Chloe in the first book and Renee was acting just like her. She was so childish. She went to Comic-Con to do what? What was the point? She was weirdly obsessed with Vivianne.
This was good !!!! I'm really happy with the ending and how we saw Renée accept the fact that si became an Omega. The storyline was good and sweet. I would have love a little bit more smutt ahah It was a little bit soft for my taste but overall I recommand this series
The storyline seemed rush and wasn’t fully developed—towards the end the issues kind of just resolved without any build up. It made it feel rushed and implausible. Also, the FMC became pretty unlikeable this book. It was like she was an entirely new character.
It was so much side character focus and a big build up to villains that magically resolved. Very little relationship building within the pack. They were barely in this book. It was a let down considering how good the first one was.
With Chloe missing Renee feels guilty with her newfound happiness with her pack. With no idea what to do next she latches onto making Vivienne Fox pay for the slights against Henry. A good conclusion to Renee’s story but not as much growth as the first
I liked the FMC in part one but it’s like she had a personality transplant and I’m not a fan of her in this book. It felt like we spent almost no time with the men in her life. This one was disappointing.
