To the editor: thanks a) for including the Machen; I don't believe I've read that piece before and b) for not including the fine but overanthologized "Man-Size in Marble."

As always I'm really behind (this time it's kitchen renovations requiring the removal of every single item in many, many cupboards and drawers) but I will get back to this one soon. In the meantime, oh, what a little gem of a book!!
