Each of us must reach a point at which we say, “Enough is enough!” – when, weary of being trapped and strapped, we are finally ready to make the decision to live debt-free. When the desire to break out of financial bondage is strong enough, it can surely be done – quickly, and without using a budget or sending Mother out to work.Sometimes humorous, sometimes sobering, this book will cause you to re-evaluate your thinking, your lifestyle and your life.
She is a member of the LDS church so a lot of her ideas are based around counsel from the General Authorities. A good book. I'd like to try and incorporate and re-incorporate ideas of hers-some I used to use! She gets a little too fanatical for me sometimes. Of course, after reading the last two chapters, I'm sure I'm just rationalizing and don't want to live frugally bad enough. I do recommend this book though.
This was interesting about how she budgets, purchases, lives within a small amount of money. I liked some of her ideas and not others. I do believe in living modestly and not buying on credit.
She teaches how to live more frugally, especailly in this economy at this time. She is a member of the LDS church, and also gives the spiritual side of how money should be used in our lives and teaches what has worked for her family. Also she teaches how to live more simply, even if your trying to teach your kids about money or wanting to just pay off your mortgage, this is a great book, I have read it many times to wear I have pages that have fallen out of the book, but I will not disgard it, becasue it had taught me some good lessons. I have had it since 2002.
