oh! How did I not know about this easy leveled-reader series? At least this first one is wonderful... three very different friends find ways to be together, in five chapters about eating, reading, gardening, bathing, playing, and sleeping. I picked it up from the LFL for the author, but now I want the rest of this particular series.

This book is about the adventures of a bug, a bear, and a boy. They are friends and they do everything together. They read and play hide and seek, they plant gardens, and take naps. The book is broken up into chapters, so the reader could take breaks if it becomes too long. The reader could also stop at every chapter and think about what happened and check for comprehension.

This chapter book explores the friendship between a bug, a bear, and a boy as they share a meal, plant a garden, read from the same book, play hide and seek, blow bubbles, and drift off to sleep as the day ends.

These are cute readers for little ones learning to read. Nice choice of simple words, with engaging illustrations. I recommend all of the books in this series.

Great for early readers! Lots of sight words and the pictures illustrate the story in a way that encourages children to infer the sentences.
