This was quite unexpected and really funny in parts. I picked it up because I loved watching Victoria Wood on television a long time ago and I had very happy memories of her and how she made me laugh. I thought this would be more about her life, instead, it's a book of comic sketches and while it was fun to read I'm sure it would be even better to watch them acted out.

Excerpt from Today in Hospital which reflects on the cuts in the National Health Service:
Corin: "I hear you've introduced some revolutionary schemes to help the hospital pay for itself?"
Kevin: "Oh, you heard about that? Yes, I'm glad to say, half of our morgue is now an extremely successful freezer centre."
Corin: "Really."
Kevin: "Tremendous. You can pop down there, pay your last respects and pick up a very competitive shoulder of lamb at the same time."
