When Soviet MiGs shoot down two CIA reconnaisance planes, the men of Eagle Force spring into action and head for the Himalayas to recover the black box that recorded the mission before the Soviets can get to it
Not a bad squad based men's adventure novel. My third in the series and they are all fairly average. In this one the independent team of mercs are hired against their wishes by the CIA, to get a black box from a spy plane that crashed in the Himalayas. If that's not bad enough, the Russians are also going for it for proof that the US were spying and destroyed a base. Also none of the Force are on the CIA's Christmas card list so there is always a chance that they will be double crossed by their own side.
Its kind of jumbled but the characters are fairly solid and the pace is quick. Definitely wouldnt tell anyone to skip these if they happened upon them, but there are better mens adventure series as well. Though I'm sure I will finish these out sometime or another since its such a small series and are good enough time wasters.
