A really superb games compilation with a nice selection of endings to finish. I'd have liked a little more autobiographical content but the the chess and analysis plus anecdotes can hardly be faulted. The bit where he recalls being stuck at the board in a tricky ending whilst needing to get to the airport to fly to Buenas Aires.... for his OWN wedding, is priceless.

Too complicated for me, too much short hand and variations. The openings interest me, namely kings Indian defense, Sicilian, and the Ruy Lopez. It's cool to get into his head too.

This came across more like a series of final exams than a read. Yikes! What a way to discover that all this time I've just been playing checkers... :( At any rate, I can see why his results might well prove uneven: miss just one little item in all of that and your whole conception can come tumbling to the ground.
