Air Force pilot Katrice Kennedy is a woman with nerves of steel capable of flying an F22 at supersonic speeds. Ex-Delta Force operative Benjamin Thigpen is a Homeland Security specialist immersed in national safety issues twenty-four-seven. They're strangers when they board a 747 in Washington D.C. But are they destined to become kindred souls when they survive a rock 'n roll landing on an icy Milwaukee runway and chase a could-be terrorist into the Danger Zone?
Another too short one for me. It had a beginning, a bit of a middle and an abrupt end. Some short stories work well, this one didn't. I guess for me because the author introduced us to Thiggy in Too Sexy for His Stetson and I expected the character to develop more and have a true story dedicated to him. What a waste! I really didn't feel the chemistry between Thiggy and Katrice like I did with Tonya (from Too Sexy for His Stetson). Think maybe that story could have led to something...hmmm....
When a Air Force pilot finds that she has the wrong duffel she has no idea of the events that have been set in motion. Neither she or the handsome Homeland Security specialist who was sitting next to her on the plane know that their lives will be changed forever. For good or bad, well that would be telling. Short but intense start to the series.
Danger Zone is an exciting start to a new series. From the start to finish, both characters come together to take down a potential bomber. It accomplishes the goal of interesting the reader to continue with the series.
I downloaded this book from Amazon as a Freebie. I really wanted to learn more about Thigpen, after meeting him in "Too sexy for His Stetson" When I learned that this book is a follow up from the Home Security Department. Fast paced and quick the story set the same pace as in the previous book but with no real romance. Other than warm lips that met, filled with promises. Love this author's writing and the non-stop action. Which there were more.
To start with you are unsure of how this story is going to unfold. Then suddenly you are thrown from one crisis to another. Will they survive? Will everything go wrong? You find yourself hanging into every word. The reason I've given this a 4 not a 5 is quite simply because I found myself disappointed with the sudden ending.
