How does one ascribe monetary value to art? A tough question that we probably don't think of too often (when we aren't broke).
Here's how I feel about this one:
It is a beautifully printed and bound chapbook (I can't say enough times how amazing Sunnyoutside Press is at book design and production - seriously - check them out if you haven't...) that is a combination of poetry and art. The paper is high quality, the printing is gorgeous. I love the art inside and enjoy the poetry. (X-Ray Vision is a really great poem...)
But at $10.00, it's hard for me to suggest purchasing it. I suppose that makes me cheap. I feel like it makes me a bit of a charlatan. I loathe saying it, but it is a definite thought that I had after reading it and so, against a part of my judgement, I decided to include it in my review.
Regardless, if you are a fan of Sloboda (I regret I have not read more...), I am certain that this tome will be more than worth your money. As I said, it is a piece of art - it truly is.
