Normally when I pick up a book in this series I get a steamy read, not so much with this one. While there was sex, there was more story.

I liked Devon and Ali's history, loved how Ali wasn't quite sure how to react to Devon coming back into her life or dealing with everyone that comes with Devon. The thing is that Ali has needed a group like this, people that will stand with her and give her a sense of belonging.

Just like that..... It's over! What will I do until 2015. Like all other Melissa Schroder books... She leaves wanting more and more. The action pack drama did not stop. I complete this book right to the bittersweet end!

5 'Oh Devon you are one sexy, lethal nerdy hot guy' stars.
Loved this book, so easy to read and awesome to see some of the crew from the previous books. Ali was a cool chick too, lethal as shit. Devon and Ali together, so sweet! Loved it.

There’s a lot to keep you riveted and on the edge of your seat. It's a captivating and at times exciting tale that you’ll find hard to put down. I believe you’ll be surprised when you find out who’s behind the threat. I know I was. You certainly don’t want to miss this well-drawn romantic suspense that will keep you engaged from beginning to end.

In the edition I read there were many proofreading issues.
Spelling and grammar errors , sometimes made it difficult to follow the story.
Sometimes bollocks was bullocks.
Sometimes the wrong tense for words was used which made it necessary to reread paragraphs to understand the plot. Incorrect words used in sentences making it confusing to figure out what the author is trying to actually say.

The s3x in the story was quite tame even though several times a BDSM club was mentioned. The relationship of the characters was sweet but this could have easily been a YA romance since the naughty bits were such bland vanilla.

I would give 3 1/2 stars. It had great potential to be much steamier than it was and it’s obvious this was never proofread before it was published.

Second Chance Intrigue

Sexy romantic suspense full of action and intrigue. This book grabs your attention from beginning to the very end.

You get to revisit couples from the previous books. Devon and Ali have a strong chemistry whether they are arguing or making love. Bridget was a touch of sweetness added to the mix.

This book can be read as a standalone, but I think it is more Enjoyable being read in sequence. If nothing else, it will make you want to read the previous books.

A really good book so sad to hear that the series is done. This was the story of Dee's twin Devon and his relationship with Ali. He hasn't seen her for five years and all of a sudden he sees her in Seattle and she has a little girl with her. She has been on the run since her father was killed. Now someone has found her and Devon is in for a surprise finding out he's a dad! Great story how they find the bad guy!

Devon has spent the last 4 years thinking about Ali. Now he thinks he has just found her. She has kept a secret from him.
Ali is always ready to run. With being an ex agent, someone is after her. Devon will do everything in his power to keep her and Bridget safe. Now Ali is missing. Will they find her?

Interesting read that grabs you from the start and holds you until the end. The story line is full of mystery and suspense! The characters are independent, strong willed and have great chemistry. Really enjoyable read.

Devon and Ali had a memorable night of passion that neither would forget that also left Ali with a parting gift. They reconnect six years later when Devon spots her and she doesn't know how to handle it. They are both keeping secrets from each other but when Devon learns about Ali's will it lead them to rekindling their past and a happily ever after in spite of the danger closing in on them.

I enjoyed this story of spies and intrigue but honestly it wasn't as hot as I remember the harmless books being. Could have used a bit more loving. I loved Ali up until she became stupid and I don't know that I buy the reasoning behind it. Can't wait to read Sean's book.

Well damn this was a fast read. I enjoyed it, but it didn't have the wow factor like the others. I mean, none of these stories lived up to Micah and Dee's. This was more of an action adventure type without the kink like the others. Plus the sex was right at the very end. Bah. Anyways, Devin is still hung up after four years since that one night he and Alicia met. Read "A Prelude to a Secret" to get the gist of it. He finally spotted her in Seattle and learned that he fathered a child with her. Okay that part blew me away and made me cackle. These guys used a condom PLUS she was on the pill. Pretty sure Devon has some super saiyan shit sperm going on there. Plus Alicia has some trust issues which was one of the reason she didn't seek him out, that and the fact the first time she did, she couldn't find him. So they met, had this big secret 007 adventure, solved some confusion, made love, said I love you's and were married by the end of the book. At some point I hated them both because none of them wouldn't just COMMUNICATE with each other. But then the book would have ended after 20 pages I guess. We got a little catch up with Dee and Micah, my TWO favorite people, plus a little sneak peek at Sean's story. I'm more intrigued with his and it smells like a threesome story m/m/m thing going on. So, YAY! excited for that. Other than that, I love Melissa's Harmless Series but it seems like it's losing its edge that it started out with. This was a quick, fun read, so enjoy!

Devon lost his heart to Ali four years ago and then he lost her. That story is told in the short Prelude to a Secret. Now four years later Devon discovers just how much he lost when he left her alone in that hotel room with just a note. Life hasn’t been especially kind to Ali in the years since but she is strong and has had the best reason in the world to stay that way. Now that Devon has found her again they are busy trying to keep her alive and if they are successful he isn’t walking away again.
Devon has been a secondary character in several of the A Little Harmless… books. We know he is Dee’s twin, super smart, rich, sexy as sin and a former employee of the CIA. Ali is a former member of MI6 and more than a match for Devon. I have always liked Devon but I really got a kick out of Ali. This story doesn’t enter the doors of Rough and Ready but we get to touch base with a couple of old friends from there. This is a super quick, smoking hot, fast paced, action packed addition to the A Little Harmless… family. It can be read stand-alone but is better read with at least Prelude to a Secret.

This story is a little different than the others in the series, but that's what makes it - and the series - great. Each book has a slightly different slant, a bit of a different focus. This one is a true action-adventure and second-chance romance that will have you flipping through your kindle at top speed. Ali and Devon have incredible chemistry together, but what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas. Devon's sister, Dee, was a delightful addition to this story, helping to smooth things out during their reunion meeting. The story effortlessly weaves their renewed love story with an investigation that includes both the CIA and MI6. The author really has a talent for keeping the plot moving between the different aspects of the story. I really enjoyed all the Little Harmless books, but this one ranks in my top three for having a solid plot in addition to the steamy love story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

1st time reading this series and not in order but also first time reading from this author.

This book was quite a change from the story I have read. This one was basically about the world of spies and its mystery.

From the description of the book I learned about two characters and their one night stand that led to a child.

But the story wasn't about the child. the child led to them but the story started way before then. it would have been a better idea for me to read the others books to know about characters and background.
But I don't think I will because I got a glimpse if I need more I would. I will read the upcoming book that's for sure.

I loved reading A Little Harmless Secret by Melissa Schroeder especially since my favorite couple, Micah and Dee appeared frequently in this story thanks to Devon being Dee's brother. Devon and Ali had great chemistry but they had trust issues because of circumstances. They have an adorable daughter that Devon is just getting to know and I really enjoy her interaction with everyone. I enjoyed the romantic suspense element in this story and that many characters from previous books appeared in this story. Another fantastic book in this series.

Hi my name is Gina and I'm a Harmless Addict! All the Harmless stories are great and each in their own way. I love this one because of Ali. I love that she is strong, brilliant and completely independent and as much as she loves Devon she can stand on her own two feet. Devon is super sweet and it's fun to see Micah and Dee tease him. And keep that seat in the freezer handy cuz this is some hot hot stuff!

A another good one in this series. A little different with the spies. A really smart and tough heroine in Ali and have always loved Devon. Loved the two little girls Bridget and Alana and seeing a lot of my favorites from prior books. Villain spy's identity kept me guessing till the end of the book.

This book was awful. Shallow plot with unrealistic protagonist and slow moving. When you don't like any of the main characters it is a challenge to finish the book. I need a few brakes until the end.
