I started this (audio)book in hopes of gaining some insight on my favorite baseball team. I was NOT disappointed. I loved learning about different legends on the team, as well as some controversies. From the history of the stadium and the infamous “goat”, this book has it all.
The overall feel of this book is that it is written where each chapter is written to stand alone more than run together. Information is often repeated in the chapters, which can seem to make the book drag as a whole. I plan to purchase a copy of the book to keep as a resource and reference for Chicago Cubs baseball.

Probably 2.5 stars. Too many unforgivable spelling errors, likely to do with the cheap Chinese printing.

Outdated, with a large portion of focus on "Cubs will never win", which I write with my World Series hat on.

None of this is Amazing, most falls short of interesting, these are not really Tales as much as random facts, and it is all from the field not From The Dugout. But, other than all that, the title is spot on.

Quitting a 450-ish page book at page 370 shows how long I tried to hang on, pretending I wasn't bored. But I was. I put the book down for a few weeks for life reasons and cannot find the strength to pick it back up.

A bit redundant and clearly biased ; but entertaining at times. Not what I expected; more or less the same stores repeated multiple times

Overall, I enjoyed reading this, particularly the mini-biographies of various Cubs players in the first portion of the book. However, I think the book's editor must have fallen asleep at the switch. There were a lot of typos!
