Emiliano Brancaccio (Napoli, 1971) è professore associato di politica economica presso il dipartimento DEMM dell’Università del Sannio. Ha pubblicato articoli su varie riviste accademiche internazionali, tra cui Cambridge Journal of Economics e Structural Change and Economic Dynamics. E' autore di saggi pubblicati, tra gli altri, da Palgrave Macmillan, Routledge, Feltrinelli, Il Saggiatore, Piemme Mondadori. E' autore del volume "Anti-Blanchard Macroeconomics" (Elgar 2018), che ha ispirato un dibattito con l'ex capo economista FMI Olivier Blanchard pubblicato sulla Review of Political Economy.
Emiliano Brancaccio is associate professor of economic policy at the Department DEMM of the University of Sannio, qualified as full professor of political economy and economic policy. He is author of articles published by several international academic journals, including Cambridge Journal of Economics and Rethinking Marxism. He is author of the textbook Anti-Blanchard, translated in several languages, which inspired a debate with former IMF chief economist Olivier Blanchard published in the Review of Political Economy. He debated with leading members of the Italian and European economic policy institutions, including Romano Prodi, Mario Monti and Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, with proceedings published in the book Non sarà un pranzo di gala. His debate with Daron Acemoglu on “general laws of capitalism” insipired a paper published in the Review of Political Economy and the book Democrazia sotto assedio. In the area of popular writings he collaborated with various magazines and newspapers, including l’Espresso and Il Sole 24 Ore. He wrote the “economists’ warning” against European austerity policies and the economists’ appeal for an “anti-virus plan” published in the Financial Times. He is a member of the editorial boards of the European Journal of Economics and Economic Policies, Bulletin of Political Economy, Il Ponte, Critica Marxista.
