Description: When actress Mystique Gray meets writer/director/producer/actor/super-possessive alpha male Sean Savage, their chemistry is undeniable, but Mystique has some serious reservations — mainly surrounding the fact that he’s a witch!

The Good: Well, as always with Ms. King, the sex is super-hot. Seriously, she should write a how-to manual on this, because she does it really well. Also, this is a surprisingly full story for it’s length. Well worth the $4.99, you’ll feel like you’ve “read a book.” There’s also a very nice set-up for the hero’s brother, who is super-intriguing and really needs to have a book of his own.

The Bad: While the plot is really tight, the heroine’s motivations aren’t made clear until rather late in the book — which gives us plenty of time to get roiling mad at her and wonder why she’s being so resistant. The character’s motivation needed to be revealed much, much earlier, so that we could all be on the same page with — as opposed to mad at — her. But if anyone is reading this who’s on the verge of putting the book down, let me assure you, she has what turns out to be sound and fascinating reasons for resisting this relationship at every turn.

The Naughty: Erotic. Huge build up and tension. Explicit language.

Editing issues: No typos found. Weird dialogue formatting on Kindle app.

Publisher: Evernight Publishing

Length: 34K+ words

Final Grade: B+

not all of us have the time to search the net or other places to learn the content rating of a book. could authors please, at least put a warning in their books.

To be frank, this is just another book for the sex industry. Romance and love do not have a thing to do with it.
Sex does not say love to me, true romance and love goes a little deeper than the physical or every one night stand, call girl and sleep walkers could claim love at that moment.

I know this kind of story has a place and more power and enjoyment to those who enjoy it, but for the rest of us please give us fair warning.
I think we women deserves a little better than this and I will shout for joy when they start demanding it. I swear the young couple in freeing carter shows alot more maturity and restrain than the couples in some of these adult books.

Her name is Mystique but the real mystery is why she doesn't jump at the chance to be with Hollywood sexy man Sean Savage. Does she perhaps know the secret he keeps well hidden?

Mystique Gray was an up and coming actress who was being sought after by heart throb Sean Savage. Sean wanted Mystique to star in a movie with him but she repeatedly refused. She didn't say why she refused to do it, but people thought that it was because of his reputation as a ladies man that put her off.

Actually her reasons went far deeper than that, because Mystique knew something about Sean that even he didn’t know she knew. It’s not just that Mystique didn't like Sean, she just didn't want him to know what she knew about him. She did everything she could to avoid him but to her surprise she ran into him in the one place she least expected to find him, the ladies room.

This story was a pleasant read with characters that were interesting and had mystery surrounding them. It was fun to discover their secrets and the reason why Mystique refused to star with Sean, and what Sean did to finally get her to do the movie. It was also enjoyable to see how their relationship grew into something more than dislike.

The supporting characters added depth to the story: Her grandmother Mama Skye, who practically raised her, her cousin Nikita, Sean’s brother Keith and Mystique’s estranged mother Meadow. The interaction between the main characters and the supporting characters helped me settle into the story and lose myself in it. Readers looking for a little paranormal love story will enjoy Acting Witchy.

Pretty quick and fairly interesting read. I didn't love how forceful and manipulative Sean was but it all worked out for him and Mystique in the end.
