That was a wonderful romance novel! The main characters were so complex and unique! While I was reading the book - from page 1 till the end of it - I felt as I was in the story, living every scene together with the characters which was sort of like an experience for me! I deeply recommend this book to everybody who are fans of great romance novels and sagas - you'll love it, it's a must! :)))

I needed an escape, and I’ve always liked Laker’s style—I’m a sucker for historical fiction. This book was a nice break.

It seems like I have been reading a lot about this time period, just before WWI. I enjoyed the book and the world of couture fashion in Paris. I also loved the descriptions of fabric and color. Of course I also liked the clash of classes and the love stories of the main character, Juliette.

This was a good book. Laker's fairly predictable style of writing is convenient when you want to read something satisfying with a happy ending.

I enjoyed the detailed description of the fashion industry during the pre WW I time period but the love story was contrived.
