What could be more awesome than celebrating your birthday with the animals in the zoo? Especially when they're putting on the party. The raccoons blow up balloons, the bats pass out the hats, the lynx pours all the drinks.

Rhyming couplets of dialog on each page tell the story of the zoo animals getting ready to celebrate a birthday. Super simple, but the illustrations are amazing, and the animals are not all your typical choices so that's super fun. A nice group read aloud!

The story is simple - but it's neat to point out which animals are saying which things. It has some animals not normally found in children's books like the tapir, a okapi, a tamarin, etc).

How can you dislike a book that leads your 2 year old to declare that her favorite animal is the "okapi"? Fun, joyful couplets describe a birthday party put forth by more than the usual farm scene of animals.

The little boy celebrated his bithday at the zoo. with all the animals. The animals provided the food, cake, music, and presents. Each animal had something to do in the party and was told to do it by the other animals. He made a wish blew out the candle, and they wished him happy birthday.

It's a great big party! In this book you get to celebrat your birthday with all the animals at the zoo. The animals in the zoo really know how to through a great party. Grades pre-k- 3rd.
