The author of over 80 books in a little over a decade of writing, Dan Gutman has written on topics from computers to baseball. Beginning his freelance career as a nonfiction author dealing mostly with sports for adults and young readers, Gutman has concentrated on juvenile fiction since 1995. His most popular titles include the time-travel sports book Honus and Me and its sequels, and a clutch of baseball books, including The Green Monster from Left Field. From hopeful and very youthful presidential candidates to stunt men, nothing is off limits in Gutman's fertile imagination. As he noted on his author Web site, since writing his first novel, They Came from Centerfield, in 1994, he has been hooked on fiction. "It was fun to write, kids loved it, and I discovered how incredibly rewarding it is to take a blank page and turn it into a WORLD."

Gutman was born in New York City in 1955, but moved to Newark, New Jersey the following year and spent his youth there.

I love these books. They are so funny. But, I cannot read them with my 5 year old in the room or he copies the humor at inopportune times. My older boys can laugh with them and understand the unspoken rules of not repeating the tone of the book.

I think this one was a little better than the past several books in the series. In Ms. Krup Cracks Me Up the students from Ella Mentry go on a field trip to the natural history museum. This book was almost like a Night at the Museum spin-off because the T-rex is missing and presumed to have wandered off. Overall, this was okay but didn't feel like the end to a series. I know the books continue on in My Weirder School and My Weird School Daze but I don't think I'll be reading them.

A.J, and his classmates from Ella Mentary school have an overnight field trip to the natural history museum. A.J. is prepared to be bored out of his mind, but is actually surprised by what he and a few of his classmates learn after everyone else falls fast asleep.

Ms. Krup Cracks Me Up! By Dan Gutman (My Weird School Book 21) is a children’s book about the class going to an overnight field trip to a natural history museum. They see dioramas, learn about dinosaurs and poop mostly. It was okay but not as funny as others. (3 stars)

I have just finished this book. The reasons why I gave this book
4 stars is because Ms. Krup is a complete @$;#ing jerk alien
poop face.

Probably our favorite so far. Night at the Museum vibes but with a cockroach. And poop. But in a funny way.

This is the 21th (and last) book in the My Weird School series by Dan Gutman and Jim Paillot. We started reading them together during storytime, but our girls have been reading them independently, which is fine with me. The books are silly and somewhat redundant, but have a clever theme that is similar to the books in the Black Lagoon series by Mike Thaler.

This story features a field trip to a Natural History Museum. The book is a quick read and it's actually pretty entertaining. In fact, it was one of my favorites. Now that we've finished this series, we will likely move on to My Weird School Daze next.

interesting quote:

"Ryan's mom, Mrs. Dole, came along as a chaperone. That's a fancy word that means 'a grown-up who hangs around with kids to make sure we don't have any fun.'" (pp. 11-12)

What I thought about the book is that it was A really funny book but in this book it shows A bit of history within it.The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it felt like something was missing. What it is about. A boy name A.J(AKA Arlo) A boy who hates school and one day like any other weird day ms.daisy told the class that they are going to go on A feild trip to the natural history museum but their last feild trip was to A feild! mr.kormel there bus driver made up his own seceret language. that part was weird. When they got there ms.krup greeted them. they all put there sleeping bags down after that some guy reported that the t-rex was missing and they went around looking for the t-rex.A couple pages later they went in to the bug room 1 page later still in the bug room the hissing cocroach got out so they went to their sleeping bags and went to sleep about 2 hours later everybody is chasing emily.

Dan Gutman understands young reader’s humor and has created a fantastic book formula to draw in even the most reluctant of readers. The My Weird School series is perfect for students to practice their reading skills with its repetitive yet hysterical narrative and story lines. But don’t mention that part to your kiddos, they might run away in fear they could learn something. A must have collection for any grade school library or classroom!

I liked the book because I love history and the story took place in a museum. The class went on a field trip to the natural history museum. Some of the animals were just animal skin and some of them were alive. Some of the animals that were alive were snakes and spiders, including tarantulas. There was also a poisonous dart frog. There were a lot of reptiles.

My 6 and 7-year-olds love this book series. They're a fun read for adults and at the appropriate reading level for the girls to read on their own (with a little occasional struggle!). Great introduction to grammatical functions such as asterisks and hyphenation, and a comical narrator voice. Love these!

I hate this series but one of my students loves it so I have to sit through every reading. On the bright side, one of my other students hated it. He actually asked what was wrong with these kids and why they were so dumb. I have an ally!

Aj and his class goes to the museum.

A.J has to go on a class field trip to the Natural History Museum but he doesn't really like those museums. Their tour guide, Ms. Krup says the dinos come alive at night. The museum was actually very cool. There was even a poop section!!!!!!!!! I think this book is hilarious!

Jake started this book but did not want to continue to read it. He did not like the sounds of some of the chapters, ie dead zombies.
