Wow. three-for-three with craft books today! This one is also superb, although it is definitely a "basics" book only. But, as such, it's excellent AND it's spiral-bound!! (grin)

Filled with pretty much everything you ever wanted to know about how-to-crochet, all the basic shapes and stitches, laid out in simple diagrams, with good writing and arrangement of information. This small hard-cover book is perfect for keeping in/with your ongoing projects, easy to carry with you if the need arises, and very sturdy.

Perfect basic "go-to" for all crocheters, or those who would like to be crocheters! Yet another very worthwhile book to keep in your own craft library.

This is a wonderful basic reference book. It covers how to read patterns, the most commonly used stitches, how to tie off, blocking, common motifs, changing colors, adding beads, edgings, filet, Irish crochet, and more. It also has some really helpful information and troubleshooting tips on things like foundation chains. I love that it's spiral bound too.
