A quest to save the sun that shines on two worlds begins the day a magic stone falls from the sky into the hands of Yuuki Wakasa, an ordinary fifth-grader.
Megumi Tachikawa (立川恵) is a Japanese shōjo manga artist, best known for the manga Saint Tail, which was also adapted into an anime series. She made her manga debut in 1992 with 16-sai no Tiara, which was nominated for the 'New Face' manga award.
Vol. 2 lebih greget! Masa gue histeris pas bagian Takaomi versi Takamagahara ketahuan identitas aslinya?! Ampe teriak sendiri, lebay banget.
There was a bit of a gap between my reading the first volume and this one, so I'll say right off the bat that the way this volume opens is ever-so-slightly confusing, and it's going at a breakneck pace, which doesn't help matters. Another annoying thing regarding this volume is the way that the translations are handled: a lot of the dialogue feels stilted, and it doesn't even seem like the appropriate pieces of dialogue were relocated back to where they were supposed to be in each panel. A lot of technical difficulties here, so I had to knock this down a star.
But this was a quick read and a fair few exciting things happen in this volume! We meet at least three more of the magic stone wielders that join up with Yuuki in both Nakatsukuni and Takamagahara, one of whom We learn a little more about how dire the situation is becoming for both worlds, the connections between everyone, and perhaps we even encounter a villain along the way. And in the small blurbs here and there on the pages for the author's notes, Tachikawa reveals a little more of her inspiration regarding the story, and how much additional influences besides classic Japanese mythology play into her world-building.
Again, this volume moves at something of a breakneck pace, which can be a little exhausting and can make for difficult or choppy storytelling, but I definitely enjoyed it.
Apa maksudnya? Cliff hanger-nya beneran bikin penasaran.
I wanted to read this series back in the day so when I found this volume in the thrift shop I grabbed it. Obviously it was a bit confusing for a start since I haven't read the first book but once I got into it I understand the plot.
However, I was still confused, there's like 5 boy characters and they all look pretty identical, I had to gloss over all the pages dedicated to them because I just couldn't keep them straight. Some panels are just hard to figure out as well, you can't really tell what's going on. I don't remember having this problem with her Mink series.
The artwork is adorable and I absolutely loved the emphasis on the environment, pollution and extinction, the messages were right up my alley.
I didn't feel any urge to read more though at the end, I think it's a very interesting premise that just needed polishing up and more variety of characters.
Imagine your in a different but the same world when u go to sleep and if u have a stone you can remember those dreams or realitys from the night before because you ever notice how you forget your dreams. This is not your normal action story it also talks about problems that you could apply to the actual world with extinction, can't undersatand what I mean read the book and you will. She is trying the change the world in the wqay she can with the ablitys put apon her.And she has friends that she has gained by her actions to help her and her quest.
This book is in a series and when I finished the first book I was searching for this book and it was worth the search because the story is very unexpected and different. It is a story with just enough pull in the end thta keeps you wondering what could happen next. This book fully puts the first book in to prespective becasue the first book seemed diffrent and wierd here they show how its actually normal making it something that you need to follow.
People who would like this book would be a person who read the first book but also people who like mystoery, suspense, magic, adventure, with a hint of romance.Following yuuki throught her dreams and life you see how people who are very careing about how the world thinks. Also i think if you like that there is someone trying to fix a world you would like this becasue seeing how much she cares that she crys make you notice the pain of the things that hurt, in the first book she feel the pain and hurt of animals, flowers and this book coral which feel pain becasue humans do things like chop the flowers down and hurt the world- makes you think human actionsmore.

More classmates appear in the second volume of Dream Saga. Yuuki tells Earth-Takaomi the full story, drama heightens in the dream world as new rivals are introduced, and the environmentalist theme is further expanded upon. This volume moves at a better pace than the first and while the art is still confusing at some spots (some of the characters look alike), it flows much better.
I'm intrigued with the introduction of Nashi as a girl in the dream world - I look forward to seeing how this gender-bending is handled.

By the time I was still reading this story things got more tense at this point. Now we start getting the idea that the reason for Amaterasu dying is because of the world becoming too contaminated. Things start to unfold in this chapter. I don't know Japanese mythology very well but reading this so far makes me want to learn more.
