The moment I set my eyes on her, I knew I wanted her, I knew I had to have her. I just needed to break through the fortress she had locked herself in.
With my brothers by my side, I run one of the world’s largest crime Syndicates. But being part of a Syndicate comes at a price, we have enemies, of course we do we wouldn’t be very good at what we do if we didn’t.
But what do you do when those enemies are closer to home than you realise?
I’ll break through her walls and claim her for my own. Then with her on my arm and my brothers by my side we’ll fight for what is ours.
What a way to kick off with a debut novel! Toni Kelly has given us delicious, swoon-worthy brothers to drool over. O’Farrell brothers may be my new obsession! I loved this book. Great plot, awesome characters, the development of both was fantastic and I can’t wait for the next instalment in this series! Phenom! Loved it! Five stars.
What a way to kick off an authors journey. WHAT A BOOK. No, seriously, it was incredible.
It honestly took me a hot minute to put my feelings to paper...
This is Toni's debut novel and she smashed it. I could not put this book down and I am definitely going to be suffering with a book hangover.
What a ride. I experienced SO many emotions; happiness, anger, fear, sadness, heart break and everything in between. At times, my heart was racing and plummeting at the same time but I would not have it any other way.
The story plot and character development was incredible, I truly felt like I was in the story living their lives and feeling what they were feeling. The twists and turns I was not expecting and had me completely hooked.
I loved Connor and Lex; they were perfectly matched. I loved seeing their relationship develop throughout the book and the way they just clicked together. Not, of course, forgetting the spice (oh the spice!).
I loved the way that we also had chapters from sideline characters point of views alongside the main couple; Connor and Alex.
As a side note, I may also be a little obsessed with the O'Farrell brothers.
I CANNOT wait to see what the O'Farrell brothers bring next and I'm ready for another ride.
ARC REVIEW Wow! What a great first book from Toni. Totally loving Connor and Lex. In fact I love all the characters in this book. The O’Farrell brothers have definitely made an impact. Connor is the head of his family syndicate and a natural protector. More so when he sets his eyes on the friend of his brothers girlfriend. Spotting her on the security screens in his club he is instantly attracted to her. But she is running away from a past, a past that is connected to a member of the O’Farrell family.
This book will have you feeling all sorts of emotions that won’t disappoint.
Looking forward to reading more from these brothers.
This work will elicit a wide spectrum of feelings in you, and it will not disappoint. Though the writing style is not for me, I enjoyed the plot and how we had chapters from the viewpoints of minor characters in addition to the main couple's. 3.8⭐ 2🌶
For me, it was the way they rushed Alex to relate her story to them, and for a brief while, I didn't feel any emotions attached to some sections of it ( and the spice as well). I, too, found myself skimming through chapters.
Apart from it, A fantastic book to kick off a debut novel! And the O'Farrell brothers are so swoon-worthy that the word "loyalty" perfectly characterizes them. And Killian... His relationship with Bells piques my interest (hope there is another instalment about them in the future *wink wink*) AND THE ENDING AHH Wow That took a turn.
Congrats on your debut novel! Can't wait for the next installment!
[Thank you for the ARC in exchange for an honest review] .
I was in bits. My heart actually hurt for Alex. Not just once but over and over again. What a strong bloody woman. She was determined not to be broken. I love her. My heart broke for Connor. Along with the rest of the family. What a family they are ❤ What a story of twists and turns so action packed. Full of strength and resilience. These boys are just pure 🔥 And the spice....it was there 🥵 Jesus.... that ending though 🥺 Can't wait to read more by toni. Jumping straight into Ronan now. I'm excited for this book as he is the most closed off and I'm slightly drawn to his darkness
What a fantastic debut novel! I was literally hooked after the first chapter. There was something about these characters that drew me in. It's dark, delicious and the O'Farrell brothers are 🥵🔥 *somebody fan me! *
It's a page turner and I read the first 73% in one sitting and then I unfortunately had to go and adult! Then #plottwist 😱
Ronan has definitely piqued my interest and I can't wait to read his book! Connor and Alex have kicked off the series brilliantly and I can't wait to read more! 🖤🖤
That ending... 👀 Real talk, I think you have to wrap your head around the writing style to enjoy this...but the twist at the end had my jaw on the floor!
What a first story… The. O’Farrell brothers are EVERYTHING. .. I couldn’t put this book down.
Connor and Lex.. I love the relationship they have and how it develops. Alex is guarded and scared. Connor knows what he wants and plans on getting it.
The side characters are great too. loved that I felt right there with them. Let’s be honest.. we all want to be part of their group.. and we all want a Connor 🔥
I love that the story kept going and left me wanting more.
What a wonderful debut novel. Toni Kelly had me hooked from the first chapter and I know I’ll read every book in The Syndicate series. I can’t wait to meet the rest of O’Farrell brothers, bring it on!
Connor meets Alex when she stumbles into his bar with his brothers fiancée. From that moment on, she's all he can think about.
Alex lives in fear of the O’Farrell’s following her history with them. Connor is a man on a mission and not willing to give up on securing Alex.
Alex shares her broken past with Connor and his family in order to save herself. The O’Farrell’s will do anything in order to save their family. But when it's a member of their bloodline causing the trouble, they're quick to deciding what needs to be done.
Alex runs for her safety. She's left with no other choice. Resulting in Connor and his brothers chasing round trying to find her. But what they do find will haunt them.
This book is so beautifully written. A love story gone wrong. A love that should have never happened given the past, but when it does its gorgeous. Together, Alex and Connor rise from the ruins.
I bloody love this series. What a book to start it all off with!
I ended up reading this in a few hours and Im just kinda of sitting wondering if she really did just do what I think she did 🤔
Connor and Alex had an instant connection at the club and you felt it all throughout the book. They were truly on fire. He turned out to be the rock that she exactly needed. The things Alex went through no one should have to go through. This book was raw and eye opening.
I loved all of the side characters and cant wait to watch their growth.
This book is intense but well-written is my first book by Kelly, and I enjoyed Connor and Alex's story. I cried a couple of times because what happened to Alex was crazy to be aware of the triggers. If you like mafia books, this is a good one.
These brothers are a force to be reckoned with and a wall of unstoppable power
She’s his angel he’s her saviour
Omg does Alex go through some stuff but by god is Connor an absolute powerhouse who will stop at nothing to keep what’s his safe and protected
These two characters Alex and Connor are absolutely perfect together, their chemistry is soo hot The passion and love they have for one another is beautiful and soo bloody delicious that man is pureeee sexiness
Seeing bits from other characters in this story like each of the brothers and the family I can’t wait to dive into the other stories. To see these characters
Wtf was that though Lynds feck mee That, okay that I was not ready for Now I’m going to go cry in the corner
Check your triggers with any book before diving in
This deserves a lot more than five stars The spice is soooo spicy and hot
This novel kept me on my toes and kept me turning the pages.
I had various reactions to this book and each one was as poignant as the next.
Connor and Alex are a beautiful couple who are both realistic and dreamy in equal measure.
This author does not shy away from the hard stuff, nor does she fluff anything either. Everything has a realism drenched in it. Were there times I wanted to shake one of the characters or swear at them or just hold them ? 100%. Did this book make me question a few things? absolutely. However this book just kept giving with a steady pace.
It's a standalone book within a series but for sure I wanna go to the next book right now after that ending.
🖤 ARC Review 🖤 Book: Connor - The Syndicate Author: Toni Kelly Available 15 January 2022 ☆☆☆☆☆
New author for me and a debut novel for Toni. I kept seeing teasers for this book on Instagram and headed to the sign up page.
Loved this book, could not put it down. The characters, the storyline and the spice were all so well written.
Connor heads the O'Farrell Syndicate along with his brothers. Alex ends up in New York after leaving Chicago and the meet in a bar the O'Farrells own. What happens when family turns and tradegy strikes!
Wow! Toni Kelly what a way to start off a series! I am honestly in LOVE with this! Your writing is just A-MAZING!
Honestly this book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions, my heart broke for Lex on so many occasions in the book! But she’s such a strong woman who keeps fighting no matter what. Everything about this book has had me hooked from the writing, the characters (I mean have you met the O'Farrell’s if not you need to I mean hot, sexy Irish brothers yes please) the plot, the spice. Just ahhhh EVERYTHING!! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series after that cliffhanger! So emotional that’s all I’ll say!
Thank you Toni for getting me out of my reading slump with this Amazing book!!
I have devoured this story, so much happens to Alex from moving to the states to meeting Connor O’Farrell, her best friend’s future brother in law. An abusive boyfriend with a connection to Connor’s family, the hell he puts her through brings out the protective side of the brothers particularly Connor who knows he wants her from the off set, I doubt anyone was prepared for how fast and how deep he falls. I’m set for the whole series now
Wow, this was an amazing story. I loved the characters, plot and storyline. This story has so much going on. A lot of triggers. Kidnapping, human trafficking, rape, so much violence. I loved the Ofarell syndicate. I loved their family all except for their cousin Liam. He is a rotten SOB.
This story is written so beautiful that you can feel the characters emotions throughout the book from start to finish it was incredible and i just could not put it down.
The moment I set my eyes on her, I knew I wanted her, I knew I had to have her. I just needed to break through the fortress she had locked herself in. With my brothers by my side, I run one of the world’s largest crime Syndicates. But what do you do when those enemies are closer to home than you realise? I’ll break through her walls and claim her for my own. Then with her on my arm and my brothers by my side we’ll fight for what is ours. Of course, we have plenty of enemies, we wouldn’t be very good at what we do if we didn’t. Oh my gosh, what a fabulous book this was to read. I found myself going through so many emotions from anger and sadness to happiness. The main characters were amazing and the sexual chemistry between Connor and Alex was spicy, but you could sense the reluctance on Alex's side. Wow did I get hooked on this from page one. This was the first book that I have read by Toni Kelly and wow she didn't disappoint at all, I will definitely be reading more of her books in the near future.
