For anyone who has been around for awhile, Betty Crocker is synonymous with 'good eats'. Comfort food at its best, you can't go wrong using the recipes this cookbook contains. Not limited to just Christmas time, food prepared here will be received by warmth and gratification from your family, relatives and friends.

Of course there is "Festive Family Fun" and "Sweet Shop Favorites". Sippers and nibbles, salads and sides, yummy main dishes and holiday breads to boot, there is something for everyone. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or have been cooking and baking for a long time, you will enjoy this recipe primer. Colorful concise pictures in a user-friendly format, the reader is coaxed to access the many hints and twists that the book comprises. Gifts for giving, a metric conversion guide and helpful nutrition and cooking information is found at the back. If I were limited to five cookbooks to have at Christmas time this would be one of them.

Love this cookbook. It has lots of tried and true recipes. In fact many of them are traditional family favorites that have been passed down over the years. (Mostly cookies). There are also some new preparations of foods that are a great use of leftovers.

This cookbook is beautifully illustrated and has many very good Christmas recipes. Most are fairly simple to make with normal ingredients.
