I found this book completely shallow. Barely any plot line, while it dragged on for pages and pages. The characters got repetitive and un-relateable. Its only for a light read, for when you don't want to use your brain.
There were some cute scenes. I thought it was funny when they brought up a Geek Hierarchy.
I wish they touched on that more. Would have been fun.
Other than that is was really about how "Looks are Everything", and Its not something people should think.
Probably wont read again. Luckily I bought this book for $.50

Well volume one is very odd to say the least.... Since only three manga were translated I figured I'd try to finish it out. I'm on the fence with this series I guess I was hoping for something a bit different.

I rather liked this one but never did get to finish it, it got dropped, or the publisher went out of business. It happened a lot in those days. New pubshier, release a few series, out of business.

Sinceramente questo manga non mi è piaciuto per niente, Reiichi è davvero lagnoso, si fa mille paranoie, spesso senza senso, Mister è quasi sempre insopportabile così come le sorelle di Reiichi, Yumiko è troppo tonta. Insomma i personaggi non brillano particolarmente e anche la storia è non solo assurda ma anche inutilmente contorta, il finale stesso lascia diverse cose in sospeso.

Ci sono alcune cose in questo manga che ho trovato molto strane e/o contraddittorie. Prima di tutto il fatto che Mister si sia rivelato un principe trasformato in cane secoli prima da un mago di nome Elias mi è sembrato non solo assurdo ma anche poco originale. Anche la trasformazione di Reiichi per opera di Mister crea interrogativi sul perché il principe non abbia usato i suoi poteri magici su se stesso per tornare umano, cosa che viene spiegata col fatto che solo chi ha lanciato l'incantesimo può scioglierlo, ma la stessa cosa viene poi smentita dato che Mister torna umano grazie alla magia di Okumura. Anche la "trasformazione" di Oomae risulta davvero poco credibile, mi pare impossibile diventare così bella in un mese di ospedale solo mangiando meno e facendosi fare un ritocchino al naso, anche la sua idilliaca storia d'amore sinceramente sembra falsa o comunque irrealistica. Una cosa che un po' mi ha sconvolta è stata la prima volta di Reiichi: già il suo primo bacio era stato con Mister, poi anche la prima volta con quella che fino a poco prima credeva sua sorella Ran direi che è davvero troppo, è un miracolo che non sia rimasto traumatizzato a vita, anzi forse in effetti è stato proprio così dato che il ragazzo è una lagna continua. Anche il finale penso lasci a desiderare, perché, nonostante Reiichi dichiari il suo amore a Yumiko e lei lo corrisponda, arriva improvvisamente un nuovo sfigato dalla faccia quadrata che inspiegabilmente fa perdere la testa alla ragazza, rimettendo tutto in gioco.

Insomma questo manga non è coinvolgente e neanche divertente, ha una storia contorta e un po' contraddittoria e anche i personaggi sono insopportabili. L'unica cosa che salvo sono i disegni che ho trovato abbastanza carini.

A nerdy boy falls in love with a beautiful girl and is injured while saving her dog. The dog turns out to have some magic and offers the boy anything he wants. He wishes he were handsome (or something like that) and wakes up from a year-long coma looking terrific.
Usually I like stories involving magic and transformations, especially manga which has such a strong visual element and is so versatile when it comes to fantasy, but this story was just a bit too silly. If I had all the volumes easily available, I'd gladly read and would probably enjoy it, but I doubt I'd remember much and the lag between releases very quickly killed my interest.

Wow. Just wow. In the beginning, I was so shocked about how shallow the people were in the manga. I think all of the characters were very exaggerated; not very realistic. However, the genre is a romantic comedy, so I knew not to take it too seriously anyway, which is why I ended up liking it enough.

It was alright. I think the plot was being dragged along and eventually I began to lose interest. Moreover, the characters exaggerate way too much.
