Amnesia on Nantucket by Taryn Daniels is a clean, sweet romantic comedy about Melanie, who wakes up with amnesia on the third day of her honeymoon after a parasailing accident, only to find a man named Adam in her bed claiming to be her husband and vows to help her rediscover their relationship and life together on charming Nantucket Island. This story blends tender humor, unexpected mishaps, and heartfelt reconnection as Melanie and Adam navigate the chaos of lost memories while falling in love all over again.
From the very beginning I felt swept into Melanie’s bewildering world as she grapples with the absurdity and fear of not remembering the last five years of her life, including her own marriage: at times her confusion is poignant and at other moments uproariously funny, especially when she sets out across Nantucket with pepper spray and a kitchen knife convinced Adam has kidnapped her.
I grew to adore Adam’s steady kindness and patience, because his gentle encouragement and loyalty made the emotional stakes feel real; watching him help Melanie confront both lost memories and her own insecurities was tender in a way that made me root for them deeply.
The setting of Nantucket becomes a character in its own right, with its breezy streets and quirky locals adding warmth and charm to every scene. While the plot leans into romcom tropes, the genuine affection between Melanie and Adam as they rediscover each other made my heart swell with hope and delight throughout.

I think this year's theme for me is an amnesiac romance between a married/engaged couple. So far, this is the dud. It's very much a clean romance. Hmmm. Very clean. These two people waited till marriage to consummate their relationship. I was like, hello? Edward, is that you?
There were a few parts that frustrated me very much. I kinda wanted to bash the girl's head a little bit, and snapped her out of her irrational behaviour. And our guy? What a loving and patient guy. A tad too perfect sometimes. And that also made me want to knock some personality into him.
That's my opinion anyway.

4.25/5. I was so pleasantly surprised by this. I got it during the stuff your kindle event. And it's an amnesia romance so it's a little bit silly. But so fun. Now I wish it had been a little bit longer, especially at the beginning. It would have benefitted from a little more of a back story of both the characters.
This just made me smile. Not the best piece of literature but so fun.

Melanie and Adam's love story is beautiful. Adam owns a company in Australia. Melanie is a marketing expert. She tries his product and helps him improve it. He comes to the USA to meet with her and they fall in love. They open a company in the USA as partners. He sells his company in Australia and he moves to be with her. They are married and go to Nantucket for their honeymoon. On the third day, he talks her into parasailing. She has an accident and has amnesia. She doesn't remember the last 5 years of her life, so she doesn't know him or her 4 year old nephew. This is the story of his steadfast love for her and never giving up as they work together to try to restore her memory. You need to give yourselves time and grace. Don't let the old Melanie's fears ruin this Melanie's future. Melanie, you're the best. You are beautiful, funny, smart, motivated, loving and kind. You are my world. It was wonderful to see our friends from the other books in this series.
Obviously, this is a very difficult topic to write about, buy Taryn does a brilliant job. This sweet romantic comedy is page-turning with exceptional characters and world-building that is realistic. Her journey is enthralling with laugh-out-loud comedy, a sweet romance, friendships, heartfelt emotions, drama, hilarious mishaps, falling in love for the second time, amnesia-related adventures that help Melanie on her journey to get closer to finding herself again, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her reader's hearts and attention by laughing so hard they cry and a sweet romantic comedy that will have them swooning.

Adam has pulled up stakes in his world in Australia and is all in with Melanie's life. What if she never gets her memory back? What then?
They have a week before they go to her grandmother's birthday celebration and then on to Australia to see Adam's family. Can Adam make her fall in love with him again?
Set on Nantucket, which I love, and at the Rose Resort with it's extended family reach around the Village, this book, previously part of an anthology, now stands proudly with the rest of it's siblings, reminding me of why I love these books of Taryn Daniels so much. Highly Recommended 5/5

This is a fun, entertaining read. Adam and Melanie are interesting, intriguing, relatable, entertaining, complex characters. Adam is such a sweetheart and a new book boyfriend. I love a good amnesia story and this is one. Adam and Melanie’s journey to figure out how to move ahead together while dealing with Melanie’s amnesia is interesting, entertaining and captivating. I love the character exploration that this plot creates and how Daniels deals with it in this story. These characters are so fun read and I hope we see more of them in next book in the series. The secondary characters – especially the Jones – added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. This story will take you on a wild emotional ride from laughs to sighs to sadness. The story is easy to read and get into.

What if a couple honeymooning on Nantucket faced tragedy and knew no one on the island? What if it includes amnesia? While it might sound like a scary combination of events (and FYI I know it is!) the truth is, it is a wonderful story of a romantic honeymoon that takes a misdirection. Hilarious at times, concerning at times, and full of love and support throughout, this was a delightful chance to visit Nantucket and read about "old" friends. Wonderful characters who pull together to help where needed, beautiful setting, and delightful handling of issues are combined to make a terrific addendum to this marvelous series. I loved this special visit to Nantucket.

Will she remember who he is? Even though he tries to prove his love to her, will she learn to love him again? Will she trust him and believe he is who he says he is?
This book captured my attention from the beginning! I read the entire book in one day! I also laughed so much reading this book. I couldn't wait to see what happened next! This book was a pleasure to read, and I can't wait to read more by the author!

After many hilarious moments of Melanie thinking she’s been kidnapped by a strange man to be trafficked, the residents of Nantucket and the Rose Inn Help Melanie and Adam work through an emotionally frustrating honeymoon.
Adam is the best thought as he patiently works to regain Melanie’s trust and love. Melanie has to face some hard truths, maybe all of her memories won’t ever return, but she slowly comes to realize she is married to a gem of a man.
There is a happy ending for the honeymooners.

A honeymoon to remember
Melanie and Adam certainly are having a honeymoon to remember, mostly because the bride developed amnesia after an accident two days into their honeymoon on Nantucket. I loved how patient and tender Adam was as her tried to help Mel recover her lost memories, which included the entirety of their relationship. Rose Resort was a lovely 'love nest' from which to explore the island only to find that the extended resort family is everywhere they go. When this couple said "for better or worse, in sickness and in health" they really meant those words.

After Melanie loses her memory during a para-sailing accident, her new husband, Adam, has to exercise tremendous patience to regain her trust…and love!
The author has included some hilarious episodes, interspersed with touching moments, as Melanie struggles to come to terms with the possibility that she will never know what happened in the last five years. Adam also has to learn to understand Melanie’s confusion and convince her that they are in love and married.

This is my first Taryn Daniels book, and I’m so happy to have found a new favorite author! Amnesia on Nantucket is a beautiful story about a woman who has an accident and loses her memory at the beginning of her honeymoon. I loved Melanie’s self-discovery journey. But I loved Adam’s strength and commitment even more. Adam’s determination to love Melanie, and to have her fall in love again is the kind of enduring male love and strength that makes me melt. You will laugh, groan, cry, and cheer for Adam and Melanie in Amnesia on Nantucket! Definitely 5 stars and a must read!

Another end of the year free read from stuff your kindle day. This one was ok and I actually really liked Adam the husband (main male character). He was so patient, kind and caring when his wife, Melanie, got amnesia after an accident on their honeymoon. Melanie actually drove me a little bit crazy during this book and there were many times that I just wanted to knock her in the head again to see if it would help her amnesia. But in the end they got their happily ever. It was a little cheesy, but for the most part it was good. Think Hallmark movie!

The female lead is ridiculous. Adam must be an angel sent to Earth just to be with her. She is insecure and says she doesn't love him after she has lost her memories. YET she gets jealous over some video she finds and claims he should have married some other woman that is featured in the video. She is also shallow as heck and keeps saying Adam shouldn't be with her because she is plus-sized, and it's like every page. She describes how beautiful Adam is and... I just can't.

She has lost the last five years and has no idea who the man with her - her new husband- is and if she believes what he is telling her. He patiently tries to gain her trust and love. Will it work? This was a cute story with a great cast of supporting characters.

Follow along with Melanie and Adam as Adam chases Melanie all over Nantucket Island trying to convince her of his love for her and that their marriage is real. You will definitely laugh out loud to some of their shenanigans.

This story was great. I loved that characters from the Cousins of Nantucket series held prominent roles in the story. There were some really funny moments and some very heartbreaking ones. Adam and Melanie are great and I loved reading their story.

I really liked this book! It's everything The Vow(movie) wasn't. It was funny and silly,yet heavy with emotion. It has you rooting for love all the way to the end. Clean and no cussing. It works as a standalone, but if you've read the Nantucket series, it's good to see old friends from that series. Note: I am an ARC reader for this book

Another great clean and wholesome story!! in every sense of the word!! which I love!! I also find it wonderful to return to characters that feel like family!! and the cousins of Nantucket are exactly that!! Follow Adam and Melanie's story in this addition. I highly recommend this book, along with all the others in the series!! A story that is very hard to put down

I loved this unusual book. We rarely think about the trying situation of something like this happening. We know it would be frustrating but just don't think about all the trials. I just utterly fell in love with Adam and at the one point, especially, my heart went out to him. I know it must have been scary for Melanie but Adam was so patient and kind. Great story.

The happiness, the sadness, the humor, will all of this result in a happily ever after? The bride is injured on the second day of her honeymoon and as a result, she has amnesia and does not remember her husband. Another excellent book in the Nantucket series by this author.

If you have read any of Taryn's other Nantucket books you'll love this book. If you haven't read any of her Nantucket books you'll still love this book. Adam & Melanie's story made me laugh and made me almost cry. If you love sweet romance with great characters then I think you will really enjoy this story.

The story line is such a cute idea! But there could have been more. It seemed like a novelette that had so much potential. I really enjoyed reading it but there were some plot holes and loss of details that made the non speaking parts feel clunky. I will say that the interaction between characters often sounded like a real conversation. Overall an enjoyable story.

Love this fun and tender story! While a dreadful accident happens while on their honeymoon, a stranger danger situation will leave you laughing at times, but it's not funny when you can't remember!

It was fine. I didn't like the FMC and I know she had amnesia but I still didn't like her. It was sweet enough, the MMC was better, he was sweet and understanding the whole time.

This story was a lot of fun. There were some hilarious mishaps where these two couldn't just work together. I enjoyed these characters and the storyline.
